Hi everybody, according to my derm, I have about a week left of accutane. I've been taking it for about 5 months.
First month I did 60mg/day , and the the next four months, I did 80 mg/day
I'm about ~195 pounds, 6'0'' male.
However, I feel like for my weight this treatment seems too short... should I ask my derm to give me a prescription for one more month of 80mg/day ? I really really don't want remission =[

From what I read re cumalitive doses at 120-150. Your total cumalitive dose should be between 10,614 and 13,267 and u are about 11,400. So u seem ok but ask your dr. Another month at 80 would put u over at 13,800 . Also if u have more questions go to real self.com where derms answer questions re accutane it's helped me a lot. Because my sons derm is a dodo lol she gave me a blank look when I asked about cumalitive dose. So I've done my own research lol. Hope this helps and good luck to you and having clear skin
