Long Term Use Of Antibiotics

I'm currently 24. During my teenage years I was on antibiotics for probably 2 to 3 years in total.

I've still been getting spots and a cyst that keep filling up, and my doctor asked if I wanted to go on antibiotics.

Is there any danger in doing this? I've read that long term use can deplete 'good bacteria' and weaken the immune system.

look into vitamin supplements, probiotics, diet, juicing and yoga for a few months. If it doesn't work then go for antibiotics. But use the topicals provided by the derm.

after 18 years of many antibiotics the pros heavily outweigh the cons there is a remote chance of getting sepsis from them.have a liver panel blood test once a year.best antibiotics for acne plus least side effects are cephalosporins 1st 2nd 3rdgeneration duricef ,cephalexin, omnicef, spectracef, vantin, ceftin, ceclor, cedax, velosef if available, but not -cefzil. Theyre best taken with food and always take with 400 mg of ibuprofen which is advil twice a day. ibuprofen greatly increases absorption of the antibiotics and your acne will be gone until u develop eesistance to antibiotic.if u have a derm understanding enough be better to have 2 running antiobiotics perscriptions and switch back and forth between them week to week.i always had major resistance at 5 month mark after 1 antibiotic so I I had derm give me 2 alternating antibiotics week to week good luck
