Today, when i woke up i noticed a small stye on the bottom of my right eyelid. I went to the nurse and she gave chloramphenicol eyedrops i forgot to mention i was on accutane and was just wondering whether it would still be ok to use these drops whilst on accutane- im sure it is but just wanted to double check!

hey guys sty has gone (hoepfully will not return!) but now i have developed a rash on both the back of my hands and my eyes and the inside of my nose are getting drier. My next appointment is next friday and when i see the doc i will have a week's tablets left- i think next friday i'm going to stop taking the medication as i already have reached my cumulative dose and now i'm starting to get the bad s/e that i didn't experience before and i don't want to risk my health....what do you guys think? Will taking the tablets for that extra week affect my progress- my derm was going to get me off the tablets last month but i said i was happy to do extra month on lower dose? I weight 45kg and have been on 25mg month 1 40mg for 5 months and 20mg for 3 weeks.

k

giving me a cumulative dose of 149mg/kg on my first course i did not reach 120mg/kg and got a relapse after 8 months

Talk to your derm about it, but do what you feel comfortable doing too. If it's just dryness, I think you'll be fine continuing for another month because that's totally normal.

A stye is an inflamed oil gland on your eyelid. They sometimes look like pimples and sometimes they swell up your whole eyelid.
