My skin is just starting to get really dry from the acctane and my foundation (which is meant for oily skin, as that is what my skin is normally like) is making my skin look and feel so much dryer. I want to get a new foundation for while I'm on accutane that will be good for my dry skin and also have good coverage to cover my spots.
What foundations do/did you use on accutane? Need some suggestions
Sarah
Cliniques continuous coverage. It's a full full coverage foundation. It will cover anything, it's thick though. So I thin mine out with a lighter shade non pore clogging drug store foundation. The foundation only comes in 4 colors and the lightest is still to dark on me. So I need it lighter so mixing it really helps with making it workable and the correct shade. I apply with a foundation brush which is awesome compared to a sponge. To started using it once the accutane dried me out too and I still use it and I love it. 23.00 at Clinique website plus you get loads of cute free minis!

I wish I could learn how to use a foundation brush! I might look into this makeup for when I need more coverage, but for a slightly lighter option I always recommend Boscia BB cream. I used it when I had acne too. I love it because it covers pretty well without being heavy like a foundation but it's thicker than a tinted moisturizer. AND it's actually VERY GOOD for your skin! Doesn't (shouldn't) clog pores. Feels great and looks natural if the color works for you. It only comes in one shade (weird I know, but it strangely works with most skin). About $40 at Ulta. Sounds like a lot but lasts a long time.
Good luck!
AND FYI- I have tons of PIH spots. They suck, but hey....better than bumpy acne!
I used L'oreal True Match foundation while I was on Accutane but I also exfoliated and moisturized my skin a lot. I don't know if exfoliating is actually recommended but I did it without any adverse side affects, which I think is because I used moisturizer meant for mature skin. This made applying my foundation easier as it didn't get weird and dry

Yeah I used true match a while back, when i had oily skin and i found that it made my skin even more oily, which would be good for my dry skin at the moment. might give it a try thanks 🙂 x
