Ive been using Ziana for about 2 months, my acne is not too bad right now, a few sortaa active pimples...not too bad, but quite a bit of red marks all along my checks, which makes it look pretty bad.
So.
(1). Ziana is considered a retonoid, right? but its a low concentration?
(2). How long did it take to start to really clear up. I keep hearing 3 monthsish, but is that just to start seeing the very first results?
(3).Would it be beneficial to incorporate 2.5% bp in the morning for an extra "kick" Ive been on Ziana for 2 months and i havnet had really any irritation problems, i started off once every 3 days and within 2 weeks i was using it once a night. I had a little peeling the first 2 weeks or so, but after that nothing (just redness)
(4). My last question would be. What is responsible for most of the clearing from Ziana, the antibiotic or the tretoin? and may it just take a higher concentration of tretoin to work for some?
haha im just starting to get curious since ive been on it for 2 months now. I feel like its getting better, i just dont know.

Hey i started ziana in the beginnin of july so ive been using it for 3 or 4 months and im clear all i have is red marks.
Dont use bp it will just irritate you the ziana will due its job. Also i think its better to have both reitnoid and antibiotic because the retinoid will purge your skin and the clindamycin will help get rid of it.
Thank you very much dontwantacne ; ) but im just wondering about the bp because, i have literally no irritation from ziana, and ive been using the bp in the morning now aswell and still no flaking or peeling or anything like that. I trust your opinion though, and im really glad to hear that ziana cleared your skin man, congrats hopefully the same will do for me. One of the main reasons i wanted to add bp was because my derm initially also prescribed me a bp face wash for the morning but it was too expensive, like 40 bucks, maybe ill give my derm a call just to have another opinon. thanks again though dontwantacne : )
Hi there! I started Ziana about 7 weeks ago ( end of November 2014) with 100 mg of minocycline every night. I had crystal clear skin before due to doxycycline and epiduo but I became resistant I guess because I slowly started getting some breakouts. The derm prescribed me Ziana and mino but I don't know how I have felt about it. My skin is mild to moderate and I haven't really seen much improvement. It's worse than when I was on epiduo but better than before I was ever on any treatment so I don't really know how to feel. So I'm about 1.5 months into it and still get a small pimple or two everyday. I've read mixed reviews about Ziana and just really really really want good skin again by April 1 (going on vacation). So does Ziana just take a really long time to kick in or should I be switching products? I went to the derm last week for a check up but she said it was too soon to tell if it was working or not. Very frustrating!!!
Regimen:
-Cetaphil oil control foam wash
-tea tree oil
-small dab of Ziana
-cetaphill oil control moisturizer
Tnorm: I have been on Ziana for about 2 1/2 months and my face is looking really good. Only 1 pimple that you can barely see (yay!). At first I was using it every night and it dried my skin out way too much so I stopped for a little while and let my skin heal. When I started again I put it on a few minutes after I washed my face then waited about a half hour and put lotion on. This seems to have really been the trick because my skin looks really great and scars are healing. My skin has a few flakey spots still but otherwise it's great. I saw that you use lotion in your routine but I wasn't sure how often/when you were using it. If you have any other questions let me know and good luck! I know how frustrating it can be.
