I just finished my second month of Dianne and I'm breaking out like crazy. Mid month I was starting to see some improvement but that didn't last. How long is this going to take? I was on Dianne two years ago and I saw improvement after only a week and then my acne gradually improved until I was clear after 2 months. I'm starting to think that this might not work for me anymore...

 

You must give it six months before making a decision.

I am in EXACTLY the same situation. I was on Dianette for about 3-4 years and my skin was perfect and completely blemish free. Then I came off Dianette thinking I might have grown out of my acne and after 3 months it came back. I went back on it and my skin is worse than ever after 1 month. I am a week into my second pack and am now having major concerns that it will no longer work for me but I will give it 6months or so and might even ask to be put on Minocin or something as well

waith a little longer . You could wash your face with nizoral shampoo , this will help you a lot

I'm definitely waiting this out I'm sure it's going to work, it did before. I was just looking at old pictures of when I started diane the first time and I did have a drawn out initial breakout. During the second month my skin was really bad, and by the end of the third there were no new breakouts My memory is terrible so I'm going to have to count on the pictures, and my guess at a time line. Not knowing when my skin will be better is what's bugging me the most.

Hi I'm on my first and a half month of birth control and am breaking out much more than usual on my cheeks!! I saw you broke out in your second month also... Did it ever clear? And when did u see improvement? Thanks(:

My daughter is 16 she has bad hormonal acne, she started

bc and for 5 months it was a up and down breaking out, but she did not give up, now she is clear and healing and just started retin a to help with all the marks, she is so so happy. Don't give up if it is hormones it will help.
