Divide your weight by 2.2 to get kg. Take the kg and multiply by 125. What you come up with is the total number of mg's needed. Divide that by 80, and that gives you how many days you will be on Accutane

Table 4. Accutane Dosing by Body Weight (Based on Administration With Food)

Body Weight Total mg/day

kilograms pounds 0.5 mg/kg 1 mg/kg 2 mg/kg*

40 ......... 88..........20..............40...........80

50.......... .110........25..............50...........100

60........... 132........30..............60...........120

70........... 154........35..............70...........140

80........... 176........40..............80...........160

90........... 198........45..............90...........180

100......... 220........50.............100...........200

OK if I was on 80 mg per day @ 120 pounds

say It is 125mg PER KILOGRAM. My daily dosage is most likely around ONE mg per kg.

Divide your weight by 2.2 to get kg. Take the kg and multiply by 125. What you come up with is the total number of mg's needed. Divide that by 80, and that gives you how many days you will be on Accutane.....

my weight is 120/2.2 = 54.5454 kg

take the kg 54.5 x 125 = 6812.5 divide by 80 = 85.15 days

hey MAJICK u stole that off me... lol... i posted that somewhere in another thread...

good, if this is your stuff then explain to me the mg doseage?

do I really need 6812.5 mg of this stuff...it sounds so excessive.

anyway, I just found the formula and did the math. I really dont

know how they determine this stuff at the doc office.
