37 y/o male here, acne since age 12? as best I can remember, so yes, that makes 25 years. Amazing! I don't remember a time without acne, and I've been treating it forever.

I'm trying to wean off bp, but when I try I get these nasty whiteheads below lower lip, and even some papules on nose. Not so much on cheeks anymore, though these are where my scars are.

Anybody else with acne in their 30s? Have you successfully weaned off the regimen or gotten on something else? Honestly, if there was a wash or scrub that worked, I would prefer that over the gel, because my feeling is that my skin is just too used to the gel now.

41-year-old female here, also having had acne since age 12--though it was mostly contained for the 18 years that I took oral birth control (BC). I stopped taking BC almost 14 months ago and am back to having hormonally-driven, nodulocystic acne; so I feel your pain--and also have scars from acne that occurred prior to starting BC and some that formed while I was on BC.

I can't speak to weaning off the Regimen, as I haven't tried it--but I'm considering it. I also am seriously considering Paula's Choice treatment kit and even the idea of mixing and matching products from the two lines to use as my own treatment regimen.

37 year old female here who suffers from cystic acne. Some of mine is hormone related. I avoid dairy at all costs. It definitely breaks me out. I try to pay close attention to sugar consumption since too much sugar causes me to break out. I have symptoms of PCOS. I've discovered that a higher dose of my ADD meds break me out, as well.

I've never used the Regimen. My personal regimen includes taking meds, applying a mixture of Epsom salt and water as needed to dry up acne and control oil, and applying Retin-A daily to dry up acne and speed skin cell turnover.

I'd do most anything to go back before the acne and scarring.

Hello, I'm 30. I've had acne for about 15-16 years. I had them all over my body in a pretty bad form. They started slow and mild but in time got very much worse.

The problem with acne seems to be inflammation throughout the body and the fact that we are good hosts for bacteria.

Anyway, there is a way to get rid of it. It has worked for me and I was really one of the worst cases in existence so.. should work for most people if not all as well.

I can try to describe.

The most important part is: NO SALT. No salty food. I mean none. No matter what kind it is or how good and healthy they say it is, do not ingest it. There is enough sodium in regular whole foods we do not need extra. This is really the basis of all else, without that nothing else will work.

You will find out very soon they put salt in everything.

Your body and skin will plump up like a balloon from salt and hold litres of extra water, you will become excellent host for bacteria and fungi. Damaging effects are numerous throughout the body and all organs especially kidney and liver.

I suggest vegan diet, but if you feel you must eat meat or is hard to transition right away from your current diet please at least don't eat diary products and fried foods. Only cooked.

Next thing is flush your liver and kidneys. Use hulda clark liver flush protocol. If you think you have other digestive problems use herbs and cleanse of parasites first then do liver flushes.

Drink apple cider vinegar until your acne stops. 80ml in 1L bottle should be enough. Drink in the morning before eating or half in morning half at night.

Last thing, do not use soaps or anything similar on your skin, nothing. If you can't eat it do not put on skin. Do not use alkaline substances on skin and hair. Skin need mildly acidic substances to clean or plain water.

You can use cotton washing glove and water or dilute apple cider vineger 50:50 with water and scrub with that  then let skin dry. Kills all bacteria and fungus.

That should be enough to cure you. Hope I didn't forget anything. If any questions feel free to ask. Good luck to you, spread the news if it helps you as well :)
