Hello, all!

I've had moderate acne for many years now, the nature of which has changed; sometimes I would have mostly clear skin, with concentrations of large pimples around my chin/jawline area, but as of late, it seems I've had many small oil clogs (I think that's what they are) comprising most of the perpetual acne.

I'll happily answer any questions, but I constantly find myself overwhelmed by the information that's available--I'm an overthinker, so I generally don't know how to understand if I have "oily" skin, or "combination", or "dry".  I've no frame of reference but my own skin, so how do I know if I'm making an honest assessment?  What I mean to say is that I don't know which information I might provide about myself that will be truly helpful in honing the issue(s).

Over the years, I've simply tried and tested many products that sounded helpful, but I don't know what works better or worse than anything else.  Right now I'm pretty faithful about washing my face at night, applying a rosewater/witch hazel toner, and putting on a nightly treatment/moisturizer.  I've attached a photo, should it serve to assist.

Truly, I'd appreciate any assistance in this area.  I'd really like to treat myself and my skin as best as I can--at 25, I feel as though I should have a better handle on my skincare routine.

Thanks kindly,
Rachel

Hi Rachel,
To check for oily skin, glide fingers over face and then feel your fingers are they shiny if not then your skin is normal;check around 4-5pm
avoid scrubs; they'll make acne all over face
apply lavender essential oil on pimples
use acne treatment every other day, they'll work better
drink herbal teas daily, they heal and prevent future acne
honeybrush, milk thistle, nettle, red raspberry leave, burdock, mint,
Avoid using them with other drugs
take probiotics or drink buttermilk/kefir daily
take vitamin D3
take blood test and see what vitamins and minerals you are deficient
organic dairy and meat makes a huge difference in acne skin
eat complex carbs
Eat lots of fresh fruits and veggies daily
