I am a 30yr old female with severe acne. I have suffered from moderate acne all my life, however over the past year or so it has gotten out of control. I have tried all of the over the counter products , also retin-A, and doxycycline . None of which bring me much relief. Two months ago I a cyst flair up that won't heal . I have tried everything . My doctor refered me to a dermatologist but u can't get an in for an appointment until 2 months from now . The cyst is large and deep and is filled with clear & bloody fluid. It seems to start off as clear fluid, then blood, then a thicker blood. It has a horrible smell , sour almost. It seems to scab over and then a couple days later will refill to the point where it makes the scab moist and open up again. I don't know what to-do at this point .....its ruining my life....and thoughts or suggestions as to what is going on with my face would be helpful. Thank you
I'm sorry to hear youre going through this and i'm sending big hugs your way.
when it comes to things like this it's very individual and it's hard to offer any real advice. You're best bet is to wait until you see your derm, even if it is for a while. They will offer you advice. Have you ever considered accutane?
It looks and sounds like it may be infected. If I was you I would probably cover it in vaseline or aquaphor every night to protect it until you get advice from your derm, and leave all topicals or actives off of it (it looks sensitive)

As mentioned, it looks infected. Infected wounds have a hard time to heal.
You can apply Benozyl Peroxide/clindoxyl (removes bacterias) on it and on top of that apply Aquaphor (speeds up healing)
But i think this is so severe that you need a lot of professional help. Would like to help you more than this, but you may need some strong medicine etc.
