Been using acne.org for research for quite some time and finally something is working! I've started taking Super Greens in combination with Probiotics to combat my adult acne, its been a week so far and I'm definitely seeing progress for once. Quick backstory, 26, m, Acne hit me in my very very early teens and stayed with me since, transitioning from large pimples to just really oily skin that was clogging every pore on my face I've been up in weight, down in weight, back up in weight, non healthy, vegetarian, balanced, on topical products, supplements, etc.. nothing really helped.
It was actually a thread on here talking about vitamin D3 supplements helping with oil control, and I rushed off to CSV to give that a shot. It did curb my oily skin slightly but it never really fixed the acne. Anyways, my research has me believing that Adult Acne is all internal.. there's just something wrong inside. Increasing Nutrition could fix that! BUT without the proper gut flora to properly absorb said nutrition, you may not see the benefits. So... the super greens powder is providing the nutrition and the probiotics is making it work. I've read its been about improving the quality of your sebum and controlling your bodys response to skin inflammation. Seriously after the second day, there was a huge change in the oilyness of my skin, it was much much lighter and not so thick. Energy levels went up, I quit coffee in the morning. Focusing better during work, metabolism went up as well. All in all I hope things keep going in this direction, It would be freaking awesome to finally find a cure.
Anyone else trying this stuff and seeing progress?
Hey! Could you relate to my post?

I think we might have the same internal gut problem and proper diet could do the trick! What exactly did you change in your died, greens, supplements?
PS. My green breakfast - peas, cucumber, avocado and matcha tea! 😀
I was basically on a vegetarian-ish diet during college for about 2 years, very very very limited meats, maybe 2-3 times a month? And I really limited my carbs and fats, lots of fruit and veggies, but it never really helped my skin.. just helped me stay skinny.
Anyways, my diet right now is honestly mainly directed towards me trying to loose some weight and get back in shape than it is for Acne. I always limited my processed food intake, eat whole natural foods and limit sugar. But yea.. I kinda eat whatever I want lol. Recently though I stopped drinking Coffee and caffeinated drinks, but that's because I was wondering if it's effects on Cortisol was making weight loss harder and increasing stress levels.
Aside from that. I've been taking Garden of Life Perfect Foods RAW. I chose this one because it was advertised as NON-GMO, Organic, RAW, Juiced then dehydrated into powder form to make it nutrient dense. And the vitamin shoppe brand 10 strain 14 billion Pro-Biotics.. since I had good results I picked up the PB8 10 strand 10 billion too since it had other bacteria strains. So I alternate them. I've read you need 20 billion total to see a difference starting out, so I take both. Will move to 1 a day after a bit.
But yea.. I started a week ago, I honestly wasn't expecting much to happen at first. But jeez, it feels like a switch flipped in my body. Everything is just better. Skin is clearer than it's ever been, no longer oily and glossy. Hopefully it will 100% clear in the near future. Energy through the day. More focused. Metabolism went up. My legs aren't as sore after jogging. Crossing my fingers to see improvements to scalp health and better weight control lol.
Interesting! 🙂 You inspired me to order the Garden of Life supplement, lot's of nice reviews! And yeah - have to agree on the desk job killing free time, same here. Looking forward to add more greens and probiotics to my diet. So far I'm doing something like mentioned here -

But yeah, feels like cutting out some foods is just not enough, enriching diet with proper supplements might help. Best of luck to both of us! 🙂
Nice, that post seems to relate pretty well to what I've been experiencing and reading about. He's basically on the same exact path but going that natural way using fermented foods as the probiotics and eating more quality vegetables. I kinda took the easy route with probiotics pills and a jar of nutrition powder lmao. Let me know if the Super Greens make a difference for you.
ahh btw, I picked this stuff up from the vitamin shoppe. The greens does seem to have a long shelf life. But since they said it's raw low temperature dehydrated juices, I wonder if high temperatures can kill the nutrition. Just something to keep in mind if ordering online and the mail man stuffs it into a mail box in Arizona.
Update. Keeping up with the routine and still seeing improvements. Starting to notice dark spots/scars fading from my face and chest where i had Acne. Chest acne is noticibly better. I did have a small breakout with whiteheads around my nose, may of been because of sweets, alcohol, or sexual activities. No where near as bad as past breakouts tho. The corners of my nose seem to be struggling to heal from massivly damaged pores over the years, so they get clogged easily. To help combat this, will try tea tree soap. So far, still going in the right direction. Also, weather has been getting hotter, but not sweating as quicly as i used to.

Interesting. I've often thought that maybe it is the quality of my oil that causes my pores to clog. I'm a 24 year-old male with skin like yours; grew out of the inflammatory acne to have closed comedones/clogged pores and oily/flaky skin. I've used a food powder supplement in the past (I think the same brand), but I didn't find that it helped too much. I live near a vitamin shoppe though, so I'm going to stop in and check some stuff out soon.
Did u use your green powders with probiotics? Another update. I kinda pushed things this past week with everything on the bad list lol. My skin did get oily but not as bad as before. I picked at my skin and that caused a breakout in the area I picked, but its gone now. I think the tea tree oil soap helps control the breakouts and the healing process. Wondeing if i can buy the pure oil and mix with body wash. Adding a one a day multi vitamin. Since the greens are low in that department. I think the high zinc content will help.
