Hi,

I've been having chin acne since I was around 20, I'm now 26 and I absolutely hate it! It's always my chin area (with the occasional one off pimple on my left cheek), it's especially bad during what I believe to be ovulation time. I can guarantee one or a few will pop up on that week without question. When one or how any I have go, more just pop up. Sometimes I get blind pimples that get three mini pimples on top. It's insane!

I've tried many things. In the past, birth control, but I didn't like that and it didn't really help. I've tried many topical treatments prescribed by a doctor, I've tried courses of small doses of antibiotics to try and kill the bacteria. These I believe helped sometimes in keeping the skin clearer for longer than it normally would, but it always comes back. I wash my face with tea tree solutions or soft face washes and toners.... I've been a vegan for 6 months now, so I don't eat any dairy either, I eat super well on fruit and vegetables... I don't know what else to do.

Can anyone offer ideas?
Thanks!

Have you had your hormones checked? Any imbalances or thyroid issues? Chin acne usually means hormonal

Yes I do have possible suggestions. Which should work like a charm. Use astringents, supplement with zinc 30mg, viatmin C 1000 mg, berberine and selenium. Also make sure you cut out all types of Junk food. Eat low glycemic index foods, drink green tea, and plenty of water.

Have you tried retin-a topicals? Steiva A? Give it a go. If all else fails you can attempt accutane, if warranted.

RE: Zinc...FYI, zinc gluconate has the most anti-inflammatory properties! 30 mgs is the right dose! :)
