I have been suffering from acne since my teens and now it is more or less in control thanks to Dan's regimen. I have lots of blackheads and my skin is not so smooth plus have some acne marks-nothing severe.

I have been reading rave reviews on Paula's choice 2% BHA exfoliant. I just have some questions as to whether I should go for the gel, lotion or liquid if I chose to apply it at night. Also should I apply it before or after the BP? Also I am currently added a toner containing mandelic acid to my routine so will it have any adverse reaction with BHA?

Suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Go for the liquid-- the gel is crap and balls up and is gross on the skin. lol I used the liquid for a good 6 months and definitely noticed a reduction in blackheads. I stopped using it because I started hormonally treating my acne and it reduced my oil production. Less oil= less blackheads for me. You can definitely tell the BHA is working when you use it though. You may get an initial breakout, but that's because it really does help bring all the stuff to the surface of your skin. When you rub the BHA into your skin, sometimes the blackheads just fall right out. It's a great feeling. Make sure you put it into your hand and then rub it into the skin like lotion. Don't put it on with a cotton ball-- it wastes product.

Put it on after your BP, but make sure you let the BP soak in for at least 15 minutes.

I don't know how it would react with mandelic acid, though sad.png sorry.

Paula's Choice AHA is awesome, too! :D
