Hey everyone, I am a young male (15yo) that used to have a very bad acne (That was treated via Duac gel and Aknemycin, not before ugly scars and redness occured all over my face).

When I felt this treatment reduced significantly my acne on my face, I wanted to treat my back. It was horrible really, lots of whitehead who turned to black heads and even left a brown mark. I know that if I won™t take care of it it™ll get worse and worse, plus I want to eliminate any kind of a breakout or something.

I went to my dermo and he gave me Accutane, saying that it™ll solve it.

So here I am, taking 20mg\day for about 8 months. It might be longer, might be shorter. I don™t know yet; I just know that when my acne will be eliminated, I will be able to proceed and remove my scars, and gain some confidence walking around with my shirt off.

Day 1: 12\6\18

So I have finally taken my first pill, after a lot of debating whether I should take such an extreme move or just be more conservative. You know the result :P

After I came back from a show (which I ate a lot there), I took my first pill. I don™t know if it happens because im excited, tired or because of the pill - But I™m feeling a little dizzy, and nausea (Although I can barely feel it). Would update if any more effects will show!

Update: About half a hour after I wrote it, my nausea and dizziness faded away. I guess I really was just nervous because of the show I had to perform :P

Day 2: 13\6\18

Umm, nothing. No headache, dizziness, red skin, ETC ETC. I guess it™s pretty normal as I am just on my 2nd day.

Day 3: 14\6\18

Morning. I woke up with little dry lips, nothing major or annoying.

But now, around 10:00, I got a headache. Which got worse, and worse.. Than, I got dizzy.

I don™t kid with you when I say that this is the worst headache I™ve ever felt. It felt like something drilled into my head, and on top of that - you get nausea.

I took a pill of paracetamol, went to bed, suffered from all of the pain, and after about 10 minutes I fell asleep. After a hour and a half,  woke up much better¦ My headache was noticeable but nothing CLOSE to how it felt before - it was bearable. And the nausea? It was better. I called my doc, he said that I should wait until tomorrow (and keep on taking the pills), and see how it goes. If it is still that bad, I should stop using it.

Right now, about 3 hours from when I woke up, I feel no nausea or headache, just weird and weak.. But maybe I feel like that because I took a second pill of paracetamol.

Day 4: 15\6\18

I swear, I had absolutely no side effects today, only a little chapped lips. YAY!

Day 5: 16\6\19

5th morning into accutane and 48 hours after the horrible headache, I have no major side effects. As I said, I used have very very little chapped sticks (although now I don™t - more on tha that later), I have a dry-peeling skin (Again nothing major, I just get white spots of peeled skin), and my head is itchy in the back.

Oh, and I get med-large œlumps on my throat - probably pimples but they weren™t red or white or something, it just hurt everytime I touched it. So I decided to put some Duac gel on it, and its size reduced greatly. I am gonna keep using that gel until the end of my course, I guess.

So far I don™t have any redness, dry eyes, any kind of headaches, nausea, back pain, muscle pain, and more.

BTW, I used labello as a chapstick until yesterday, and I HATED EVERY MOMENT OF IT. It did hydroated my lips, but it felt just so oily and œwarm.

Yesterday I decided to try Vaseline (I was sure until then that it was even worse than Labello), and voila - I finally felt that my lips are smooth, not oily, and overall it felt much better than Labello. I guess my father was right..
