Day 18

Success: I haven™t worn makeup for the past 3 days! It™s been rough but I know it™s best for my skin. I have a few cystic spots around my mouth, and a few whiteheads here and there, but overall my skin is still fairly okay. Still flaky in some spots but oily in others, it™s weird. But no real side effects except some dryness which is fine. So yeah everything is good!!

Day 22
Almost a month down! Not much has changed. Still no IB. Lips and skin and dry but not unbearable. Some back pain but I™m not sure if it™s accutane related. BUT I do have a question about my hands. Has anyone had breakouts on their hands, like a rash? I noticed it shortly after starting accutane... but I™ve also been eating low carb so that might be the cause. Can anyone help?! A5A871D6-CD13-4095-B2D6-CE95B58268A4.jpeg28503220-6BCA-4DB7-B528-1C19E8F73992.jpegAE476BFB-2B9C-47CB-A42D-A929BF3CE3F2.jpeg3B90AB3A-F2E5-44FF-9A40-F287D18CBAD6.jpeg85A40C28-5388-4E17-8336-112142D365C6.jpeg

Had exactly the same rash on my hands and Im about two months into my course. Have found not washing hands too often (and when you do with moisturising handwash) and putting E45 on them to help.

It would be impossible for me to apply not washing my hands too often try glycerine hand creams, they are good for dry hands and also are cheap.

Day 24
thanks everyone for your input about the hand rash!! Glad to see I™m not the only one. :) as for my face, it™s actually pretty smooth right now. I have one cystic spot on my left cheekbone and a small one under my lip but I think that™s it! I have a few smaller spots but at least they™re not cystic. Although my face feels pretty smooth, it™s still scarred pretty bad. My lips are dry and my face is still flaky and peeling. I™m also still having spots on my chest and shoulders. My next dermatologist appointment is Friday, looking forward to it!!2969716B-66AB-4F86-B524-C01B203C0D83.jpeg 995E48A4-33B4-473E-9D81-7B968D5B2BE0.jpeg

Also my hair is not super gross and greasy in all these pics, I always take them after I get out of the shower! hahahah

Day 37
Sorry for the delayed update! Life has been pretty crazy the past few weeks. But, as for the Accutane, everything is great! My skin is still pretty smooth for the most part, although I do have a couple cystic spots, one on my right cheek and one on my chin. My lips are still dry put I have like 12 chapsticks so I™m managing lol. Plus I™ve noticed my face is A LOT less oily! I used to be pure oil but now it™s so much better. My hair is a lot lesser greasy too so I can actually go a day or two before washing my hair! But, my upper arms and hands are still kinda getting dry spots but I™m moisturizing. No major side effects. I had my dermatologist appointment and she said everything looked great and is still keeping me on 40mg. 46D71589-3A20-44AF-852B-3B00F3FFB703.jpeg2015B43C-CA15-42CE-A1CD-BA21841C50AB.jpeg94805033-7196-4D60-9B3F-C2161A785EF8.jpeg

Skin looking a lot calmer, and less oily will help a lot. Looking good so far

Day 53
Can it already be day 53?! Time is flying! So everything is good. I™m still getting tiny cystic spots though and they turn into huge flaky spots that are so red and annoying. But besides those my scarring is looking better, and my face and hair are still much less oily!! I have my dermatologist appointment this Friday so we will see how it goes! She may bump up my dosage. My arms have soooo much accutane induced eczema on them though so that™s unsightly and annoying but I™m dealing. Also my lips are still sooooo dry! You can see in the pics how flaky they are ugh. Anyone have a recommendation for a good lip moisturizer? More updates to come!
