Hey, Hi, Hello

I'm starting this log to document my progress and mind side-effects. It's good for me and, if I'm lucky, might produce something useful to someone else. My #1 concern is major depression (I'm a lifer), but there's a whole lot more. Accutane is pretty scary when it comes towhat ifs. Alright, let's roll:

Stats:30 year old man-person. 6'4", 200 lbs.

History: I developed severe nodulocycstic acne when I was sixteen. No issues with acne prior, until one it one day exploded and decimated my well-being. Most severe problem areas: Neck, back, armpits. The pain was cranked all the way up to eleven, I bled constantly and the cysts in my neck were so deep, so inflamed, I could barely move my head.

This story isn't unheard of... I tried everything. Every treatment. My acne was impervious, nothing put a dent in it. I hadn't been insured since I was eleven, and fell into self employment in adulthood which also meant no health insurance. Accutane wasn't sustainable out of pocket. I then tried every possible natural treatment, spending up to $200 per month on supplements, juicing, super clean, anti-inflammatory diet with omission of all naughty foods... Ultimately without success.

With the natural approach, there was success in reduction. That reduction meant 3-4 bad, inflamed cysts on average Vs a dozen. I'm sure aging helped too. The worst I face nowadays is under the armpit and on my tailbone, because it's physically debilitating. An inflamed cyst in my armpit means having limited use of an arm for a week. The cysts on my tailbone are small yet prevent from sitting in many positions [core workouts = excruciating] and never subside.

Outlook:Despite forcing myself to be outgoing over the years, has this condition robbed me of comfort, security, happiness, and pursuit of several opportunities? Yeah, absolutely. No reason to sugarcoat it. It's okay though. It really is. I'm looking forward to a good life, and having clear, healthy skin will be huge.

Updates will come once a week. I think I'll talk about... Eh, I guess whatever's relevant. We'll see what happens.

Thanks for the read, and best of luck in your own journey.

//Cheers
