I had been wanting to write this for a while now i just thought no one would ever see it so i put it off. But i thought maybe i could help someone out there or could be going through what i went through so here goes my acne journey and how i got my normal skin back. BIRTH CONTROL pills made me have severe cystic acne!!! Well stopping them did... i was 19 years old when i took birth control for the first time. Took it only for 3 months since i was getting really bad headaches so i stopped..everything seemed fine for a month after or so then all hell broke loose on my once clear face...i stared getting big cysts and since i thought nothing of it would tried to pop them..Big huge mistake..after a month or so after the pimple was gone a pitted scar remained. i thought that maybe over time it would eventually fade but it they wouldnt it got so much worse. Didnt go to a derm since i would research and thought my hormones would eventually calm down but my face was being destroyed on the proccess..fast forward two years. Desided to go to the derm and got prescribed accutane. Have to tell u i was a little scared of the side effects but it was my only choice since i had tried so many things already and nothing worked. Plus i had so many ice pick scars that disfigured my face. Im so thankful with God for making accutane work for me for a while while i was on it i thought it didnt work for me since i took 7 months and had to stop then even though my face had few little pimples but after 3 months of being off im completely clear!!! So dont loose hope theres a light at the end of the tunnel u are not alone..God bless u all for being strong!!! Have questions ill be glad to answer them:)
