Hi, I just started my last month of accutane! My acne is gone but I have some pretty noticable scarring. I found this powder foundation (Dermablend instant powder Camo) that is supposed to be good for covering scars. My concern is that it's going to make me break out because it's kind of heavy. Do you think I'm less likely to break out now that I've been on accutane for 5 months? I just want to be really careful about what I put on my face because I want my acne to stay gone!!
Anything can have the potential to break you out, accutane or not. Derma bland is heavier than say mineral makeup so it may or may not help/hurt your skin. If you're worried, try mineral first which should have minimal effects.
Make sure you use loose mineral makeup, since pressed and pasty makeup can sometimes worsen acne. Whatever makeup you will use, please wear it for the shortest possible time, i.e. wash it off as soon it is socially acceptable for you to be without any makeup. Best!
I read several reviews on it, and no one complained it broke them out - I use Bare Minerals right now but may switch to this.
