Just saw my derm again and I'm now starting month 4. My triglycerides are really high so she prescribed me something to lower them. I'm still dealing with blackheads. Hopefully this month will be better acne-wise.

Best of luck on your 4th month! I'm starting my second month tomorrow :) I love having all of these people going through the same things as I am, it makes this process easier!

Thanks and good luck to you on your second month! I wish I had taken Amnesteem earlier instead of Zenatane. I really do feel like it is a better generic. I'm also noticing much more improvement on it.

My skin is finally starting to look good. It still gets somewhat oily and there are still some clogs, but if it stayed this way for the rest of my life I'd be happy lol. I still have a little ways to go with my course, though, so hopefully it continues to improve.

I am starting my sixth month, but my derm said I'm only about half way done. My first few months were at a very low dose so that is one reason why I'm only about half way done. Also, my derm said that with a second course it is may be more effective to do a longer course.

wow

I thought the second course was shorter/lower dose (generally)

but as long as side effects arent too bad and skin is looking ok or better

guess makes sense to stay on and get rid of it for good this time

Sorry for not updating for a while. My skin is a major source of anxiety for me, so when I can I try not to focus on it too much. My skin has been having ups and downs. It's still breaking out from certain things which is frustrating to me, because on my last course it felt like I was immune to breakouts no matter what I put on my skin. I also am still slightly oil which is also frustrating. My next derm appointment is tomorrow and I'm going to discuss switching generics again with her. I think my last course I took claravis so I'm wondering if that may be better for me.
