Hey everyone,
I've been reading on acne org for a while but thought id finally make an account. I start Accutane today on 10 mg, along with cephalexin antibiotics! I'm 15 and 61 kgs for any wondering. Just if anyone had advice? What should I prepare myself for?? What happens after the initial breakout does my skin become smooth?? Thank you 
Hey I'm, 15- male 50mg a day.
on my 3rd month of accutane right now. Just be prepared for dry lips and skin! The first two months are gonna be bad. Well they were for me. Acne got worse and I got lots of breakouts. But in the third month, damn the tane really starts to work!

Just remember it gets worse before it gets better! good luck
At your dose, you might not even notice the dryness too much! But just in case - some things you'll need:
CHAPSTICK - I use a Neutrogena brand one and it helps me out a lot.
CLEANSER - Make sure it's gentle! My derm recommended Cetaphil so I use that!
LOTION - also make sure it's gentle, I just use Cetaphil lotion as well. It works for me!
AQUAPHOR - This is basically chapstick x's 100, I slather it on at night and it keeps me from cracking.

PATIENCE - It can take a while to see a difference. I'm about a month in and I've seen very little. Just keep the end goal in mind!
