Another accutane related post from me. Bleurgh.

So it's been a week and I really don't feel good. Mentally I feel fine, just a tiny bit more irritable. Physically though is a different story. I feel exhausted within like 2 hours of waking up, eyelids feel heavy, my head aches... Not in the classic headache sort of way, just constantly a bit achey, mostly around the front/temples area. Also this morning I felt quite sick. Not to the point of actually throwing up but just a little.

Is it normal to feel like this or should I be worried? I've read around and everything seems to be a bit inconclusive with regard to nausea. I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon anyway so hopefully they'll be able to answer this.

I'm so worried that I'll have to come off this stuff because it really is my last resort.

Sounds to me like you are just under the weather and slowly coming down with something. Hope the GP manages to reassure you. Good luck!

I did get a couple of stress-induced headaches when I first started out. My immune system definitely took a hit, too- I had 3 colds within 2 months because my nose was so dry that it was easy for bacteria and gunk to make themselves at home in there. I would mention it to your doctor, just in case. As for the nausea, I see 3 possibilities:

1. You have a bug, which sucks, but it happens.

2. You have a sensitive stomach and you need to make sure you are taking your pills with food. I don't have any trouble with this on accutane, but on a previous course of doxycyline I had to be super careful about eating.

3. This is what happened to me- Did you just start taking birth control pills? That can make you feel nauseous if your body is adjusting to new/different hormones. I had stopped my pills for 2 weeks due to a shipping mistake with my rx, and I could not figure out why I puked after a few days back on them. I hadn't had any symptoms when I first started them years ago, so I guess it's just hit or miss.

Hope I helped, and good luck with everything!
