You're half way there!! I'm so jealous. I only just finished week 2 out of 24.

Even people without acne have days where they feel gross. So don't sweat it. You're a very attractive guy and things will keep getting better!

Hi James :) it was a great idea to keep a log and create video diaries, wish I would of thought of that. Your acne looks alot better, you seem to fewer problem areas.

Accutane hasn't worked as well for me as I would of hoped, I'm on a brand called isotretinoin, think it's the english brand of accutane. My acne isn't severe however like you have said I suffer from cysts, feels like a lump under the skin. I haven't had bad flare ups recently however I still have red marks from previous break outs.

Do you still suffer from dry skin/lips? Just wondered if you recommend any products, I've been relying on Dermalogica moisturizer which is great but pricey, however as for my lips I can't seem to find a miracle cure. It's a bit annoying as well, as i'm a girl I like to wear lipstick which I can't... guessing you don't suffer from this problem though haha ;)

Hey Hollie!! I'm on isotretonoin as well. It is accutane. It's a generiv brand of accutane. Accutane is no longer in production due to lawsuits and stuff. Works the same though... so I've been told. I don't get very dry lips luckily. But I reccomend aquaphor for chapped and dry lips. That's what I use as needed. :) Let me know how your treatment goes :)

Hey James, I just stumbled upon your story. I hope all is going well and that you are feeling better. I just wanted to let you know that I had horrible cyctic acne for several years. At one point, a dermatologist counted about 16 large, swollen cysts just on my face! It was terrible to say the least. I got some relief from proactiv and from giving up sugar but the biggest difference came when I stopped eating dairy. It cleared up over 85% of the problem. Because I was lactose intolerant and didn't know it, my body was having such a hard time processing the dairy that the reaction was travelling to my face and popping up as cysts. I got the idea from my mom's friend who had horrible cystic acne into his 40s. His problem was dairy all along. It's not everyone's problem, and it might not be yours, I just wanted to mention it in case somewhere down the road you get sick of accutane and start having problems again. It's something to consider. Best of luck!

Not sure if anyone follows my board anymore, but just posted new pics in my gallery.

Probably done giving updates now and will only be answering questions when asked. I created the videos and documented from the very begining so that maybe I could help some people during their struggle- I hope I have accompished that. If you are using accutane, it can get really lonely, but just know that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

*I used The Acne.org cleanser throughout my accutane journey and still continue to use it to this day.*

-Almost a year since I took my first pill on this course. FInal Picture:
