Lucky you Taylor! I hate Mondays - I usually spend the day cleaning my house, ugh. And Florida is in the middle of a tropical storm that's in the Gulf and it's been raining here nonstop for two days - sooooooooo depressing and sooooooooooooo wet and sooooooooooooo sticky!! Blech.
Rachel, good to hear things are clearing up so well. I think maybe, possibly, maybe my under skin bumps may be getting smaller? Except the one on my left cheek - it seems to come and go in size, weird. I still feel like they're never going to go away, sigh. Tomorrow's my derm appointment for the second month, hopefully my labs are good.
Day 41
Holy crap. I have been insanely thirsty today. I'm probably shriveling up... Lol. The funny thing is, my best friend is taking medications for her migraines/polycystic ovarian syndrome and something she's taking dries her skin out, too. So, the two of us were thirsty the whole time we were at the mall today.
And a day at the mall seriously wore me out. It hurt my back to sit in my car driving for an hour to get there and another hour back home. I sat down when I got home and did not want to get up.
On the bright side... Like I said yesterday, the bump on my chin is gone. I also noticed those lingering bumps I've had are finally shrinking. They're all almost completely gone. Still no actives. Hopefully it stays that way...
Anyway. Does tomorrow really have to be Monday?
Shriveling up haha, I feel like that right now. I just took a shower and my skin everywhere is really tight feeling. My face feeling like one of those big rubber bands people use with exercising. I need to moisturize everywhere. Like take a bath in a tub of lotion or something like that.
I know how you feel about the not wanting to get up. I have felt that way multiple times since starting. Like it seriously hurts to get up, but sitting down isn't comfortable either.
Yes tomorrow does! You know why? Cause it's the start to my 4 days off
WOOOO!
Luckyyyyy! 😛

Hope that storm passes soon!
I'm so glad things are clearing up and seem to be staying clear. It's definitely a relief. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed things stay this good.
It's great that you're bumps seem to be getting smaller! They'll all be gone before you know it. Don't worry! 🙂

I hate that feeling! I haven't had that happen on Accutane though.
Definitely keep moisturizing! What kind of body wash do you use? I switched my body wash to an Aveeno kind for sensitive skin so that would help put some moisture back into me! And relieve some itching.
Exactly! I hate those days. 🙁
hey!!!
i am on a week now!!!!
nothing special yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ur so lucky that you dont have the dryness...
Don't worry! You're start seeing some changes soon, I'm sure!
My lips are dry and I do have a few small flaky patches on my face, but I definitely don't feel dry. It's so weird!
Good luck on your course!
I guess my biggest problem so far is,
Can not sleep well at night!
That really sucks!
Oh no! 🙁 I'm sorry. Do you think it's definitely related to Accutane? If it is, hopefully it'll pass soon!
I have no idea!!
It's so weird, I though I had been sleeping for long,
But when I checked I had only been sleeping for an hour or so,
Also I would pick at my face automaticly ,damn!!!
Can not sleep well since march,
April may were a bit better,
June sucks again!!!!!!
Day 43
My sunburn is soooooo itchy. On the bright side, all of my little rashes are gone. A few less things to scratch!
My feet have been kind of achy lately. It's not a constant issue, but it occurs every now and then. I mostly notice it when I'm wearing certain pairs of heels. Might have to start taking a supplement for that.

YAY I'm not the only one who gets sunburns on this 😀 hehe.
Day 44
Went to a job interview today that was about a half-hour to 45 minutes away. The drive there and back definitely wore me out. Just sitting in the car for a while makes me feel achy. My job now is only 15 minutes away, so I don't drive that far very often.
Regarding my skin... Last night after I posted my update I noticed a bump right under that zit on my left cheek that's taking forever to go away. I put some salicylic acid on it in hopes it would kill it before it surfaced. No luck. I woke up this morning with a lovely whitehead that was bigger by the end of the day. Cuuuuute. And yes, I did pop that sucker with a hot washcloth tonight. I mean, who wouldn't?!
Also, I somehow cut my forearm. I have no idea what I did, but I have a cut that's almost the full length of my left forearm. My right forearm is fighting for attention, too. As I'm writing this, I noticed my right forearm has small rash-like bumps, but it feels like rug burn. I guess I must have rubbed my arm on something...
I'm going to see my general physician (my derm's father) tomorrow to discuss my platelet levels that aren't where they should be. I have a feeling he's going to tell me I'm fine and think I'm crazy for even seeing him. But, hey, I'm just doing what my derm told me to do. I'm sure it's nothing though. Probably just dehydration like my derm said.
*chugs water*
Sorry about the whitehead cutie ;( At least it's not 10! It's 94 right now, o m g and our house has no AC, kill me. Thankfully my room does though from one in the window, and I have two fans blowing at my face. I can't wait to go swimming at noon.
Very true! I'm glad it's not 10!
Sorry you don't have any AC! That must be awful! It's going to be in the 90s here today, too. My step-dad decided it's not hot enough to turn the AC on at work.
I hate hot weather!
How are things going for you today? Umm 90's not hot enough for AC? That is crazy! I would melt! How did the interview go?!
Things are going alright today. I didn't enjoy the hot weather, but oh well. Can't complain. It's supposed to be 100 tomorrow, so I'm assuming that's hot enough for my stepdad to turn on the AC at work! How's the weather where you are?
The interview went really well. Hoping to hear something soon... Kind of nervous!
Day 45
I went to see my doctor today about the high platelet count. He thinks it's fine and said I shouldn't be worried unless I have a low platelet count. Not that I was even worried about it in the first place... Although, I do know a high platelet count can cause some problems, but since he thinks I'm perfectly healthy otherwise, it's no big deal. He said my skin is looking beautiful. Lol! He's odd, but I appreciate it.
The two zits on my left cheek are now scabs. I hate scabs. They never want to go away and you can't really cover them with makeup.
There's another side effect I've been experiencing that I've been kind of afraid to acknowledge because I don't want it to be something bad. I've noticed my vision has been a bit blurry sometimes. I'm fine when I'm just up and about. However, I notice a problem when I'm trying to read something from a distance. I can read everything fine, but the words still look a little blurry. Other than that, my vision is normal.
Could it be dry eyes? My eyes don't feel dry though. They feel normal. (Then again, only my lips feel dry.) Perhaps I'll try something for my eyes. Can anyone recommend a spray that can be used on closed eyes? I couldn't put drops in my eyes. That feels weird to me. I know there's Optrex, but the only place I can find that is through random sellers on Amazon.
Day 46
I was bad and picked at the scab on my cheek. It looked terrible and I refused to leave it there! Plus, I'm going to my cousin's bridal shower tomorrow and I really didn't want to walk around with a scab on my face.
Anyway. Decided to stay in tonight because this heat has made it an insanely busy week at work, so I need some rest! It was 105 today. So gross.

I am the worst at picking. 🙁 I need more self-control.
It's been extremely hot here, too! I think it's 105here too. I HATE the extreme heat. I'm fine with 85!

I need more self control too! I picked at my cheek zit because of the same reason you did. The thing was nasty and scabby. It is finally starting to look a tad better. A tad. Its not so red and huge. 105? Ugh it is 95 here I bet that would feel nice compared to 105. Did you hear back from the interview yet?

No picking, Katie! 😛 Lol. I usually don't pick at things, but I just didn't want two scabs on my cheek! I just make sure to put some Neosporin on it.
85 would feel soooo good right now.

Seriously, who wants to walk around with scabs?! It's so tempting to just pick it off. Glad yours is looking better though! 🙂
Yeah, I'm sick of this heat. 🙁 I'm ready for fall now. Lol.
I haven't heard back from the interview yet. The lady I interviewed with was hoping to let everyone know yesterday, but she didn't. Hopefully I'll hear something early this coming week because they are hoping to get someone in the office right away.
Day 47
This has been the weekend from hell, you guys. The weather this week has been in the 90s for the most part, but yesterday was 105 and today was another 100 day. We had a crazy storm last night and as a result, we lost electricity at my house. That was 24 hours ago. We STILL don't have power. What makes it more frustrating? It's just the 15-20 houses on my street that don't have power in my neighborhood. My grandmother that lives down the street from me? She has power! If only they had fixed mine, too! But anyway, I'm staying with her tonight to keep cool. Ahhh, Internet, TV, lights, and air conditioning. Feels good. Oh, and a bathroom too since I can't use that without electricity at my house. Haha!
Anyway. Back to Accutane-related matters... The spot on my left cheek is still lingering. It's a bit flaky since I picked the scab off and there's still a bump. Wish it would heal already. Overall, the skin on my face is good. I do feel another bump on my left cheek. It's tiny though, so I'm not too worried about it.
The rashes on my forearms are another thing. I haven't been moisturizing them or anything because they weren't bothering me. They're like bumps and scabby feeling. Eczema? A few bumps actually feel sore today. I put some Aveeno Baby lotion on them. Hope that helps!
Hope you all are keeping cool this weekend!
Day 48
The good: My electricity returned at 8:30 p.m. Nearly 48 hours without electricity was not fun. Yeah, it was nice to crash at my grandma's, but you start to miss your own bed! Lol. Now on to Accutane matters... The spot on my left cheek seems to be looking better. It's a little flaky and there's a scab, but it's not too bad. The rash on my right forearm and the rash and the cut on my left forearm are going away. The blurry vision I was complaining about isn't noticeable today. Perhaps it is just dryness? With all the commotion this weekend, I never got a chance to look for drops or something.
The bad: My collarbone rash is back and damn does it itch. While Accutane gives everyone else zits, it gives me rashes. But you know what? I'll take the small rashes over a nasty zit any day. Lol. If only I could stop scratching...
