Salutations for college! The funniest thing happened today. Since i moved in today i had to go through all these long lines to sign in and register, and blah blah blah. Anyways i was getting all these side glances whenever people walked by, and it was starting to crack me up because they were trying to be so sneaky and they were so very very obvious. So this girl behind me that had been doing the look away tango with me finally worked up the nerve to ask me a question so here is basically how it went:
Girl: Are you on anything for your face?
Me: What?
Girl: Are you on anything for your face?
Me: What do you mean?
Girl: Like medicine
Me: What medicine?
Girl: I dunno like accutane
Me: But accutane is for people with acne
*AWKWARD PAUSE*
Me: Why would you think I need Accutane?
Girl: Ummm ...... Ummmm ....... Because you have acne
Me: WHAT?!?!?!? I HAVE A PIMPLE!??!?! WHERE?!?!? OH NO OH NO OH NO!!!!!
*AWKWARD PAUSE*
Girl (Now deathly pale): Ummm ..... Ummmm ....... (Turns to friend and whispers loudly) What do i say?!?
Me (Barely keeping a straight face): Where is it? Is it very noticible?
Girl: Which one?
Me (Draws in big breath to start freaking out again, but i can't keep from laughing anymore)
........................................................... Not Funny? Guess you had to be there
BTW i think im experiencing my first accutane symptom !YAY! :w00t: Yes when i got out of the shower, i felt a wicked soreness in my lower back. I would equate it to being punched in the back every 30 minutes by an angry midget, but with less bite marks.
Anyways later peeps.
HAHAHHAHHHAHAA omg... I would not have been able to keep a straight face. Good job buddy! I bet she'll be walking w/ her head down for weeks.
Finally just went and bought the stuff for full price and they will reemberse me later. I took my first pill, after laughing at the packaging and its 20 exed out pregant women for about 10 minutes.Question when do all the wonderful side effects start kicking like the chap lips, and the dry face, and the liver failure ..... jk about that last one. Also when does one usually run into the infamous IB?
What is the infamous IB? There are so many abbrevations that I am just totally lost on within the site. Does anyone know if there is a dictionary containing the abbrevations? honestly.... :shifty:
I do have some intermitant cysts on that back of my shoulders, but like i said before its always been this wierd cycle where the bulk of acne would either be on my face or on my back, and it use to switch back and forth pretty regularly, but since i was taken off minocyline for the first time in 2 years (which is when this whole ordeal began) It has step up shop pretty permanately on my mug. Thanks for all the tips, and I've been meaning to pick up some aloe anyways because i hear it help with the loverly red marks.Quote of The Day

The truth will set you free. Let the true you release you from the bonds that acne has shackled you with.
Toodles
I've heard that Aveeno Night Cream helps...it's a tad expensive (about $15 for a lil jar but I came across it on another log and it seemed to have worked...)
[btw...I'm new & I know you're better w. the acne now but for any other readers...it may be worth a try. I am making a list of products prior to trying accutane]
Hey Hey Mr Ranger, good to see you are still doing well. I'm only a month away from finishing myself!
Also...Anabel, I highly recommend aquaphor as an overnight cream. (it's like vaseline) It will keep you from drying up, but judging by your picture you don't seem to have any acne at all...?
P.S. IB = Initial Breakout
Haha welcome to my ramblings all ye new readers, and old alike
I'm glad to see that people arent afraid of reading from the beginning of this imposing thread.
Good for you bob how are you coming along?
Wow my first proposal i've really hit it big eh? Why dont we go on a date first
yea dude I like your blog and I just started accutane like three days ago, and when i yesterday i read a ton of your pages, You really do have a good spirit and you motivate people without knowing it Im really glad you wrote this blog because if you didn't some people could've never made it through with out a smile ;]
I read through the entire thing, woo hoo. It's 3am now, but it was totally worth it. Okay, I admit, I took some time out earlier to watch a movie, but still- I came back and finished.
I say grow the beard back, but keep it trimmed. It looks good on you! Okay, well sleep is calling, lol. I loved seeing your 'transformation' so thank you for sharing doll!
PS: Remember if you come my way you owe me a date! & keep the log/blog updated because I enjoy you and your stories! *please!*

aquaphor? does it help with redness? haha, thanks... what wonders make up and a cellphone camera (which doesn't show all the nasty lil details) does!!! I have some scarring and keep getting breakouts on and off... that's why I am really hoping Accutane will help. I am just dreading the dryness and headaches, etc.
anabel5 take accutane its well worth it. I'm in my 3rd month of it and its working really good. The aquafor is for your lips, i defly wouldn't put that on my face.
yea... that's what I thought at first but then got confused because I thought maybe there was some lotion type since I was thinking of the aveeno night cream. I see my my new doc in about a week and a half (still trying to get an earlier appt) and then hopefully they'll refer me to a derm. and the derm. better prescribe me the drug dammit!!!!
Matt ~ okay, so I read your entire blog, even at the protest of my b/f who wanted me to come to bed a few hrs before I was done, lol. I am sooo impressed, with both your amazing attitude, and your results. Congrats!!! I know it will only get better. PS-I think your main pic i.e. "signature look" makes you look a lot like Adam Sandler...Anyone agree? Anyway, your story really renews my faith in Accutane...And I haven't even decided if I will take it yet! Thanks for the laughs, and the great info

WHERE!? lmao! Oh and I can see a little bit of Sandler around the mouth when he smiles... either way, good looking dude! I read half the blog after my bf knocked out last Friday night until I gave into my drooping eyelids at 3am....hopefully I can finish the rest this weekend! Saturday I wasn't able to cuz I was watching the kick ass movie, THE DARK KNIGHT! (I know...has nothing to do with acne...but THE DARK KNIGHT WAS AWWWWESOME!! Heath was amazing)
haha adam sandler isnt a comparison ive heard before so thank you.
