That would be awesome to see you on true life. A weird thing that I've noticed though is that many people on that show have acne/scars (guess it is true that most people in life do get acne).

I just have a question about your vow... Why did you create it? I think you should ask that girl out (JMO)

I'm not on yet so we shouldnt be counting our chickens. I'm in the mix though

The reason for the vow was probably a mixture of two things.

A)I was just coming off a really really intense relationship, that i considered my first love, and I was afraid that if i tried to start dating that it would either end up with someone (probably me) getting hurt bc of me probably searching that something that i had even if it wasnt there this time OR that someone would take advantage of me in a vulnerable state

B)I'm leaving San Antonio after this year no matter what (i can't pursue my dreams here there just isnt the faculty) so even an inkling of a chance that I could find someone that would make have to choose between love, and my dreams simply terrifies me.

NOW (A) doesnt have as much prevelence anymore, I'm not particularly vulnerable anymore (as far as i can tell). However (B) is becoming stronger since I'm pretty secure in my transfer to UT. My solution was i gave her my number on a funny little note that said to call for coffee. IF she calls i'll probably go, if not ill just let things be.

So, Im pretty new here and just read your entire blog in one sitting (shows you what studying for a history midterm will do). Anyways your blog is completely amazing, I admire your strength for going through all this because I know my face isnt as bad as yours (gosh that sounds terrible, im sorry) and Im down on myself all the time about it.

I just wanted to tell you how much respect I have for a guy I've never met and Ill be checking here all the time, praying that things work out for you!

By the way, not that it matters to you anymore haha, your a very good looking guy and by the sounds of your blog, any girl would be lucky to have yaa (after ur dating vow)

hey gang just wanted to give an update on how i'm pretty sure i didn't get on True Life. Its been over a week now and i haven't heard back from MTV. I'm thinking probably they didn't want just the aftermath, and i understand why. Maybe just maybe it still might pan out, but my hopes aren't so high anymore.

I'm getting senioritis AGAIN, but this time as a freshman and it could have dire consequences. I'm in a transfer program, and at the end of the year if i have a 3.2 GPA among other things ill be able to go home and bleed burnt orange again in my hometown of Austin Texas. However i did too well in my first semester and i've bee slacking big time, kinda coasting in to the end of this semester. I realize this is happening and i should shrug the apathy but I simply can't. I had this problem senior year of high school and it probably cost me getting in to UT right out. I need some help to sync up my mind with my actions, because I really want to go to UT.

Huge difference hon. Congrats for sticking with it. Also, kudos to you on logging your progress in pictures. It really gives you no bones about it progress so you can't wallow in the misery, which I think becomes a habit for most acne sufferers.

Congrats for shaving the beard. It just really goes to show how far you've come. Several months ago your acne was literally inhibiting your daily life and now, it doesn't really seem like a problem.

Lastly, on the subject of beardage, you do look younger now. At your age I don't know if its an insult or a compliment but, there it is. Before shaving you were reminiscent of Zakk Wylde or David Alan Coe. Although a much more lovable one.

Disturbing news btw, my face has been free of active acne for well over 2 months now. Today i woke up with a couple whiteheads around where i shaved (not entirely surprising) but i also have one on my temple and one on my forehead. They are just little buggers, but being that im still in the full swing of accutane its very unsettling. Thoughts like medicine not working anymore, bad pills, etc start to creep from the dark corner in which they reside. I'm hoping to chalk it up to midterms stress, and increased face touching since i literally can't keep my hands off my stubble. Its not even concious my hands just migrate to it on their own accord. We will see, it would be absolute terrible timing for me to breakout now, on the eve of spring break when everyone is expecting to see how much better i've gotten.. Que sera sera i guess right?
