I felt compelled to join the forum and tell everyone of my experience since finding this thread the other day.
I am 39 and have had very mild Bacne for 5 or more years now. I cant remember when it started but it was not a problem when I was younger in my teens and 20's. It is very mild compared to what I have read about some people but it was bad enough that I was embarrassed to take my shirt off in public. It mainly appeared on my shoulders and biceps but a few angry red bumps would appear further down my back.
After finding this thread only 4 days ago I immediately decided to try this method and have been totally amazed at the result. I used ordinary neat malt vinegar bought in the supermarket and dripped it on a cotton ball and then rubbed it as best I could on my back.
As I applied it I felt a mild burning sensation which was fine and not painful at all. I left the vinegar on for around 45 mins before I noticed like a red rash caused by the vinegar. Slightly alarmed I went straight in the shower and washed then went to bed. On awaking the rash had gone and I noticed that over just 8 hours my condition had improved 50%! I'm on day 4 now and I'm carrying on the treatment in the same way and I have to say I think my condition will be totally eliminated in the next couple of days. My skin feels really smooth, the blackheads are gone and the red bumps have been reduced to almost nothing.
Like I say my condition is very mild but I am totally amazed by the results as other treatments have resulted in nothing. Give it a go its so cheap and effective. What have you got to lose!
Hi everyone,
I'm so happy that I found this forum last week and see this vinegar treatment I had never tried before. I too suffer from body acne, mild on my chest and very severe on my back (from neck all the way down to waist almost). I'm 25 years old with a pretty face and body but I don't remember the last time I wore a bikini or went swimming. It's been many many years that I've been dealing with this secretly. I never told any one about my secret, not even my closest girlfriends who I hang out with everyday. I made up stories such as I'm scared of water to death, and I'm very conservative and self conscious about wearing revealing clothing. For the longest time I couldn't date and didn't want to date anyone. I always hoped that one day my acne will clear up and I would be normal like everyone else. I could never pass the kissing with guys. I finally found the love of my life end of last year. We had a very difficult time when we were at the point of crossing the kissing line. I wanted to leave him because I don't think anyone deserves to deal with this and I'm very ugly and ashamed. He's an amazing person. He accepted my condition and we're talking about getting married As much as he told me he doesn't care about my bacne, I wish everyday I could change it. If you're reading this, I'm sure you know how I feel, either yourself or your loved ones suffer the same thing.
I had used all kinds of Rx and went to so many specialists, and the results were extremely disappointing. They all told me it's the hormone...stress...there's nothing they could do. I spent alot of money on this too. I'm glad that I found this site and I started trying the method since last Thursday. So far I haven't seen any improvement yet but didn't get worse either. I've been under alot of stress from school and moving to a new city alone, and I'm sure that has an effect on it. Unfortunately we can't just not be stressed, can we? That's part of life.
I feel great about the vinegar method. It's definitely worth a shot. I'll update my results in a couple weeks.
Good luck everyone and thanks for all the support!
Does it matter if its organic or non-organic apple cider vinegar?
Also is there a particular brand thats better then others. I live in Canada so we might not have all the same brands as the US.
Is it also okay to apply this to the chest and back with a spray bottle. Just thought this way would be faster than slowly dabbing it everywhere with a pad or something.
Well I sure hope this isn't a big practical joke, cos I'm walking around smelling like an over-seasoned salad. My brother has locked himself in his room cos he can't stand the smell.
I just bought a bottle of ACV today and will be applying it day and night half hour before showering. I think Id be too embarrassed to smell like this in public, but Ill see how it pans out.
I joined this site cos of this thread. Im a massage student, which involves me taking my shirt off every week in front of a whole class of people, which is embarrassing enough. But to be 26 and to have severe bacne and che.. chacne.. or whatever.. is horribly humiliating.
I really empathize with a lot of you and wish you all good health and spotless skin!
i am going to try it. i hate bacne ugh its so gross but the marks left are the worst of it. my back is pretty cleared up.. but the marks need to go. currently i use regular peroxide and its way cheaper than bp and it works for me so far. just the ugly scars.marks i see when i look in the mirror.. i will let you know how it all works out..
Well i went ahead and just bought a bottle of generic cider vinager. And have been using it since friday night. I've just been using a spray bottle to put it on my chest and back and then lightly spread it with my hands. I'll post again in a week or so with results.
Should i have bought organic cider vinegar?
Is leaving it on a over night good enough or should I be using it twice a day?
How long should I mix it with water before I can start just using it undiluted. 1 week-2 week?
Tried it, result is very good after just a week, using apple cider vinegar, apply very liberally( splash it on) before bedtime, smell soon goes. Greasy skin feels dry but not dry as when using BP. Please try it.
Hi guys
Just thought I'd answer some of the questions, I put it on with my fingers and just rub it on with a few drops of the Tea-Tree oil (which should be available at any good health food shop) and use it as an exfoliant (i.e. rub it in to take off the top layer of dead skin, especially good for getting rid of the hyperpigmentation associated with old spots). I used Japanese rice wine vinegar but I dont think it matters, any type of vinegar will do.
Not to disrepect anyone's opinions but the poster who thought that my bacne stopping and the use of vinegar was coincidental was not correct - I had bacne for about 15 years and whilst it was sometimes worse than other times it was always there in some form and when I first tried the vinegar it was especially nasty, until I started using the vinegar - as I said I only used it to try to get rid of the red marks and I was astounded when I stopped getting new spots.
It cost like $3 for a years treatment, you have nothing to lose and its changed my outlook on life (the beach is a different place when you dont have to worry about people looking at the dark red spotches on your back).
All the best folks.
M.
How often did you apply the vinegar? And, is it OK to put it on and then take a shower right after?
Hi Guys!
To start off, I'm a guy, just turned 21, 5'10 or 9 not sure in height and... you guessed it! I have acne, face and backne to be exact.
My face acne's starting to slowly disappear because of a new regimen I just started a few weeks ago, it's quite simple: I just wash my face morning and night. But I don't use just any ordinary soap I use facial wash, Clean and Clear's and Pond's to be exact. But the point is I think just washing your face regularly will have enough effect, if not then I guess it is time to see your dermatologist.
Okay now with my backne, its kinda worse than my facial acne (which is a "good thing" given that i wear cloths 95% of the time) and I've started using the ACV treatment 4 days ago.
I think it "kinda"cleared up a little bit but the next time i take a look it goes back to the same way it was, weird. Anyway i dont know if i just haven't used it long enough.
-> Okay my regimen with it is in the morning i put it on after bathing then leave it throughout the day.
-> Then when i get home i again apply it onto my back WITHOUT TAKING A BATH (I guess its okay sine i do not sweat while at work)
-> My dosage is 1:2 ACV and mineral/distilled water.
BTW when i apply it for the first few minutes, my back gets red a bit, i think because the ACV is irritating the skin at first, but it goes away.
Okay for you good Sirs and Ma'ams who have used this treatment and fortunately got results, please answer my inquiries:
1. Is my regimen effective enough? (Applying it in the morning after bathing then again after coming home from work?)
2. Is my dosage incorrect? (Do i have to add more water or lessen it?)
3. Why does my back turn red in the first few minutes of applying it? Does it have to get worse before it gets better?
4. If you noticed i dont use TTO since its soo expensive here in the Philippines. Do I reaally need to use it in my regimen?
5. Is it okay to leave it on or do I have to wash it off after a few minutes
Please please please to all those who stumbled upon this post and got results by using it please tell me what am i doing wrong or what should i include in my regimen.
Just think about the first time you stumbled upon this thread how excited and hungry for more knowledge you are, that's what im experiencing right now.
I SWEAR to God if this treatment works I will answer anyone's succeeding inquiries with this thread and share my experiences (If i'm notified of a new reply hehe)
I hope you all have selected "Notify me when replies are posted to a thread" check box here in acne.org
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!! Thank you soo much for all those who'll reply!!
Wish me luck guys! Congratulations to those who got results from this treatment, I hope I get mine.
Hi Im back!
Just wanna share my regimen:
The solution is 50:50 ACV and distilled water, sometimes more of water but just a very little bit.
Ive been using the ACV 7 days now every morning after bath then before going to bed.
Nothing much has changes, what am I doing wrong???
Is the tea tree oil THAT important in the mixture??
Is the ACV too concentrated?? WHAATTT?
(((
Thank u soooooooooooo much... I'm goin' to try it...
Hey guys
I dont pop into this forum much anymore - since I cleared up my acne I really haven't had the need - but I thought I'd pass on my experience to hopefully help some of you guys out there still struggling with acne.
Quick history on my acne before I pass on my personal bacne cure - I had pretty serious acne for 17 years (I'm 31) and had it on my face and back - the acne on my back was cystic and quite nasty whilst my face was generally less cystic.
My face has cleared up with the regimen (I use a lot less BP now than prescribed but it seems to keep my acne at bay, amazing considering I had used BP since day one but not knowing the appropriate way to apply it meant years of nasty facial acne).
My back resisted all attempts to rid it of acne - I tried accutane (was too harsh and I ended up sunburnt all the time back in Australia where I grew up so I gave up) and I tried a number of expensive topicals that did virtually nothing, I'd kind of given up hope an resigned myself to a life of bacne when I read about using vinegar on your face to get rid of hyperpigmentation so I thought I'd give it a go to get rid of the red marks on my back that had formed as a result of the cysts and would stay for weeks if not months before being joined by new fresh red marks.
So off to the supermarket I went and the only vinegar I could find was Japanese rice wine vinegar so I bought it home and tried it (I found it worked best by using it with a bit of Tea-Tree oil), well the results were amazing, within two weeks my back was clear of spots and the marks had faded significantly within three weeks. I have to say I was stunned. The truly strange thing is that its been almost a year since I first started using it (at the time nightly) my back is completely clear and now I no longer need to use it as regularly, I probably apply it once a week if that and my back stays acne free. I still have the original 375ml bottle from last year which shows how little I need to use these days.
If you've made it this far through this long post I'd like to say please give it a try (the smell can take a bit of getting used to but believe me its worth it) and thanks for listening and I wish you all the best in your fight with acne.
Good luck, hope it works for you like it worked for me.

Someone please post pics of the kind of vinegar they recommend for this please? I went to vons but was overwhelmed. There was so many at vons.com. Also, Should i get Apple cider vinegar or what? I believe intitial poster said japenanese rice vinegar?
I have been using this same treatment for YEARS, and I swear by it. No it is not a "coincidence" like some bonehead thought. It actually works. It does not matter which "type" of vinegar, any will do, as long as it constitutes "VINEGAR"

I would stick with the STRAIGHT vinegar... Watering it down isn't really going to give you the power active ingredient: Vinegar, which acts as a natural astringent to the body. Acne/Bacne can be resistant to typical store bought astringents because of the chemicals, especially sensitive skin. Your skin begins fighting off the reaction to the store bought, and therefor becomes more agrivated instead of healed...
I have been trying rice vinegar for a week... Its working.
I'm 37 and have suffered with nasty cystic bacne for most of my life. Only the sun ever clears it up, and living in Manchester I dont see too much of it. Most of the time I hide my naked back. I have tried everything else.
Rice Vinegar (sponged on as thick as I like) dries it all up... Some of the big B****tards have simply vanished in a couple of days and generally my skin is getting smoother and smoother.
It's working...
Many thanks Mikka.
First i want to thank the op for posting about this.
i have had bacne for about 2 years, never had it before, but i've had it constantly for 2 years, and like most people i have tried everything and nothing worked, that is until i stumbled on this thread. I bought a spray bottle and a bottle of nakano all natural rice vinegar and a bottle of jasons tea tree oil. pour the vinegar into the spray bottle and add a nice amount of tea tree oil, i would spray and rub in 15-30 mins before each shower and id apply it before bed, two weeks later i'm pretty much cleared up , even the redness is gone.
you can dab the tea tea oil on to stubborn zits to really dry them out
i also use this, store brands are garbage and full of harmful stuff to your skin.
Cleanse All, Mountain Sage shower gel..its all natural and smells great.
Hi guys,
Reading all this posts made me eagerly to try this regimen.
Status: moderate - severe back/chest acne
Products: Apple Cider Vinegar, Tea tree oil 100% (10 ml)
1) I took a shower, used some gentle cleanser from Loreal Men Expert
2) After 10 min dry, I mixed with 5 spoons water about 5 drops of Tea tree oil - I use a small plastic cup
3) After 5 min, it got dry, so I mixed 2 spoons ACV (vinegar) and 2 spoons water - ratio 2/2 - small plastic cup (different one)
I hope the steps are clear, may all get healed .
I will come back with response, count on me!
I tried this and I while some acne dried, I start breaking out in new places.Anyone had similar experience? Anything to fix this?
Hi budister,
Can you please be more specific about the regim?
e.g. For how long did you take the regimen?
Did you use it twice a day, morning and evening?
Do you use as well TTO with the ACV?
Hope you have patience, and doing better now.
p.s. Concerning me, for personal reasons I could apply only at night the regimen. I've got three days (3 times applied) and I can say that it seems that no more cystic bacne for the moment.
Take care! Keep fighting.

Quick Question here...are you storing your vinegar/tea tree oil mixture in the spray bottle? Do you refrigerate it or just in a cabinet? Just wondering if I should mix it daily or if I can store it pre mixed. I appreciate you getting back to me!

I did it for 2 days, night and morning application. It tried some acne, but I started getting a lot more break outs which was unusual for me, so I stopped. I used ACV only.

Sorry to hear this budister..Do you use something else to fight against bacne?
Concerning my situation: some of the bacne starts to hurt when pressed, it wasn't like this during the firsts using of the regimen (still used once a day - seems not sufficient).
Now I will mix the TTO with ACV, and try using it twice a day.

Thank you for all the replys!
I stopped using vinegar and my acne calmed down.
But I found out what is my source of acne by mistake. One day I was drinking a much of real fruit juice (freshly made) and next few days my acne grew MUCH worse. So there is a direct relation btwn sugar and my acne. I'll try to go on a strict sugar-free diet and see how I fare.
Seems like a never ending battle

Budister,
You got a good point with reducing the sugar. This if you can combine with detoxifiation regimen, there are some products like (COLON Help) - I use it, but not often, because you can also lose weight.
- Though, since yesterday, my bacne seems a bit more quiet. But it seems, you definetly need to use ACV and TTO twice a day.
The fight will continue for a while, though, we are in advantage, so keep on going. Battle after battle.
