FYI, this is pretty gross so just warning you all before you start reading.
A couple of weeks ago I got an extremelypainful red tender bump on my pubic area where the hair grows, it hurt so bad and was so sensitivei could barley move/walk. Eventually it popped really badly and burstin 2 placed leaving 2 small holes, they eventually scabbed up and I thought I was gonna heal but until the other day the scabs fell off I guess and now they're small open hole wounds that won't stop bleeding, literally non stop bleeding lots of blood like a faucet. I keep bandaidson them at all time and that stops the bleeding but as soon as I pull off the bandaid to replace it they immediately start pouring out blood again and its been 4-5 days and still no sign of healing.I also suffer from acne on my back, chest, and face, and the pubic area too. I have great hygiene and wash that area daily. I don'tknow if this is acne or any other type of infection, I am a virgin so It cant is an STD or anything like that. Also note I am on my 5th month of Accutaneso I'mguessing that is the cause, but I've never had anything like this that will not stop bleeding no matter what. Please help, I'm going to see my derm in a couple days but I'membarrassed to show him because it's really humiliating.
Hi bigburd,
Sounds like you have widespread acne on your body. I'm not sure if you were able to see the derm by now, but I would emphasize the importance of showing it to your dermatologist so they have a comprehensive understandingof your condition. I am also in the medical field and trust me, doctors have seen it all - there's no need for you to ever be embarrassed. Do you have a formal diagnosis? I am guessing you do since you're on accutane. What you're describing could be something as simple as an ingrown hair with a stubborn wound that wont heal or possibly something called hydradenitis suppurtiva, which is a skin condition that appears like acne, but happens along the folds of the skin such as the armpits and in the genital area as well. If you don't mind sharing, how old are you and do you bruise easily? This could be a subtle sign of a blood condition and you should not take it lightly. Wounds should naturally clot and heal with time. Keep us updated.
