So my chest acne is a curse from God. My face is almost perfectly clear...and then theres this. My options are limited too so any advice is very well appreciated. As you can see my chest is a mess. There are raised scars, deep scars, red marks and other scars. I have the option to go on accutane BUT I would have to pay for it out of pocket due to insurance screwing me over. Am willing to do it but the scars are the real problem and if tane doesn't improve them then why spend thousands. Also will these marks EVER fade? The redness seems like it won't. Feeling absoultley miserable about this, any advice will help. Really close to giving up all hope, looking forward to never being able to take off my shirt for the next 70 years.
I have chest acne, and cystic acne on my back. After numerous treatments from dermatologists that did nothing, I tried acupuncture. (Nothing to lose right?) I used to get a new cyst/zit on back at least every other day. I went almost a month without getting one after starting acupuncture. She's even treating the scarring. The couple I have gotten disappear much faster and do not scar. I would highly recommend trying it!
My son's chest looked nearly the same. Nothing helped including antibiotics and foams provided by derm. Started using Aztec Healing Clay with ACV 3 times a week. He is starting to see some improvement including reduction of scar tissue which was a complete surprise. Also, occasionally used Mario Badescu buffering and drying lotion on the cysts.
