How To Treat Body Acne With Sensitive Skin

Hello, I've had acne on my back and chest for the last few years (I've just turned 20) and no matter what I do, it won't go away. I regularly change my sheets/clothes and always shower straight after the gym. I have very sensitive skin, if I scrub too hard in the shower, my skin will look red and irritated. I tried using benzol peroxide a few years ago and that didn't seem to make much difference. I've also used neutrogena body clear wash with salicylic acid and that was too harsh for my skin. I am going on holiday in about a month and would like to be able to take my top off with out feeling embarassed.

Does anyone know of any body washes or general treatments that will clear the body acne but also is suitable for sensitive skin?

Also, if anyone knows any short term solutions to help reduce the appearance/hide the acne that would be really helpful.

*I currently use Aveeno body wash for sensitive skin when in the shower and don't apply any addition products.

Thanks in advance

Got the same situation. I stop using any products of boby wash coz I believe they contain chemical substance which harm my skin - it's sensitive skin also. I changed to use natural remedies - it was oat flour and it worked. U should try that,

Please don't use harmful substances on your skin!

this is my post on how I got rid of back acne. If you're sensitive to scrub you can use your hands to apply the shower cream to your body.
Not much people pay attention but once you stop using benzoyl peroxide the acne comes back much worse.

I had the same situation for years. Clinique has a bar for face and body. Very good for sensitive skin. Also, try changing body washes. I used Neutrogena products for years, had back and shoulder acne something terrible. Most of the washes from Bath and Body Works don't break me out at all (the extra moisturizing formulas do though). I discovered that it was certain ingredients. Also, I can wash my laundry in Tide, I'm fine...use Cheer or some others and I break out. Good luck.

I have sensitive skin, too! I would advise you to use Cetaphil Baby Wash for washing (that's what I use for my sensitive skin) and use ROC's Sensitive Skin Wrinkle Correxion (yes, that's how they spell correction for the product)Cream at night on your body. The wrinkle correxion cream contains retinol which is a mild retinoid that will kill acne and dry out your skin (just a tad). You will need to experiment how often you can handle putting on the cream (for example, I can only put it on every other night bc of drying).
