Hi there,

been posting here a few times to find a solution to my acne(facial and body).

Backstory:

Started getting back acne at atleast 12(now almost 16)and it's getting worse. When i was a few years old i had pneunomia(heck i might even have it now lol,but i don't experience any breathing problems)which someone said that it may have a connection to my acne(Staphylococcal folliculitis, or any bacterial acne of some sort)I have attached some pictures of my back, chest and shoulders and also links to the facial acne.I also have scalp acne which appeared some months ago.

Thanks!

(facial)

We can only guess , I think that nodule cystic acne ,can make the cysts stay for a long time if left untreated, acne itself that doesn't respond to over the counter products anymore, maybe because of infection.

You are very young, hormonal acne can be a big reason right now.

Have you stopped shaving?

A sulfate free shampoo could help for your scalp ,or if dandruff seems to be a problem maybe some head and shoulders or selsun blue.

Dr Bronner's tea tree liquid soap for body maybe.

These are only suggestions, what could be more beneficial to you, it's probably a visit to a dermatologist, because I feel that I'm only assuming and guessing on this.

Take care.

Hi Noche!,

yes i am young but i thought i wouldn't get hormonal acne at such a low age(not 16 but when i started getting back acne)because i didn't have body hair or facial for a couple of years.I shave maybe once every 1-2 weeks with the grain and i don't grow where i have acne so it doesn't really affect it.My chest acne has flared up recently,i used to have only at the top of my chest but now it's going to my belly. The thing is that most of acne(body and facial)stays the same since the time it's created, like it doesn't really heal or anything(except for my forehead which has normal healing time of some days)

I want to visit a dermatologist this summer when i finish my exams.

Thanks for your advice!

Alex
