Hi guys ,

New to this forum and posting it for the 1st time.

I am 30 years old male with acnes and scars from acnes on my upper back area. I had acne trouble since my early 20s , they are always on and off . Some times i have a lot of acnes , sometime less but never been a time when my back has been acne free or acne scar free.

I would appreciate if someone can recommend me body wash\soap and cream\lotions that i can use which might help me ? I read somewhere about lotions and wash with AHA but not sure which brand to go for.

Would be glad to hear recommendations from you guys.

Thanks much in adv.

Cheers!!

Added pic as FYI .

Try sea salt baths - search for it on this site, many users have found success with that added into their routine. I do them occassionally now that things are under control, not every night like some of the posters.

For me Alpha Hydrox enhanced 10% lotion (you can get at Ulta or Amazon or Drugstore.com- white bottle red cap) does the trick, my skin is tough enough to handle it morning after a shower and night before I go to bed- it keeps my pores clean and helps to fade hyperpigmentation. Dan's brand of AHA is similar and has great reviews so you could try that one as well.

But start slow, and if you have active acne it will sting a bit, but don't panic, it goes away after a minute or two...test out a spot first of course overnight.

Good luck, and go buy your AHA and get going today!

Stop using your shampoo. Use shea butter conditioner. Then use 6 pumps of benzoyl peroxide day and night and use 8 pumps of cetaphil moisturizing lotion with 30 drops of jojoba oil. This will stop your back acne quick. Or you can use aspirem benzoyl peroxide its just as strong without the overdrying you will get from 6 pumps of benzoyl peroxide. I used both these regimens int he past and both stopped my back breakouts immediately the very next day. Also sleep on your back while your doing this regimen.

Namz- both links you showed are what I use, just different bottles, but yep that's it.

Or order Dan's if he ships to Austrailia - AHA helps control active acne, AND helps fade the red marks...and doesn't bleach clothes and towels like BP! I'd give it a try for a solid month, and see what you think.

Search for the sea salt baths and try and do a soak a couple of times a week...and keep us posted!

you could use Dan's cleanser....I use the Alpha Hydrox cleanser....

keep the cleanser mild if you are going to try the AHA....just to make sure your skin doesn't have too much going on all at once

fingers crossed for you!

Thanks guys.

I was reading and going through diff regimen options suggested by Dan . I was wondering if you can comment on my acne condition and tell me if you think its light , moderate or severe ( dont think its severe) or if its light , light to moderate or moderate ?

Cheers!!

Your back acne is borderline between mild and moderate. You can get rid of all those active pimples in 2 weeks. And the red marks if your using 6 pumps of dans benzoyl peroxide day and night it will go in about a month or less.

First try 2 pumps if you breakout try 3 and so forth till you find your number. For my back it takes 6 pumps of benzoyl peroxide day and night to stop all breakouts on the spot. Acne is a science remember that! Now I use aspirem benzoyl peroxide on my back so I save hundreds of dollars. Before I used to buy 4 bottles of Dans benzoyl peroxide a month to use on my face neck chest back and butt. The total cost of my regimen used to be like $400 a month. I now shrank my cost down to $150 its worth the money for the clear skin. I always choose health over money.

My back had look way worse then you. I had like a hundred red marks and about 30 active pimples. Within 2 weeks all my pimples shrank even the huge ones. And within a month I had like 3 red marks left. Benzoyl Peroxide is key.

Would have loved to try Dan's products but shipping kills them. I guess Dan's products are out of my reach , 69$ worth of products will cost me 90$ shipping.:(

Anyone knows any online shop that sells Alpha Hydrox products and ships to Australia for nominal $$ ?
