Hello. I am looking for somebody to talk with that has or had Miliaria, especially people that struggle or struggled with it for an extended period of time.

Miliaria rubra

The most commonly encountered form of the illness is miliaria rubra, in which obstruction causes leakage of sweat into the deeper layers of the epidermis, provoking a local inflammatory reaction giving rise to the typical appearance of redness and larger blister-like lesions. This form of the illness is often accompanied by the typical symptoms - intense itching or "pins and needles" with a lack of sweating to affected areas.

Hi

I've struggled with miliaria intermittently for many years. It's a pain in the ass isn't it?

I am now taking Accutane 40mg each day and Benzoyle Peroxide 5% every other day. I am also trying to minimize the picking at my skin and always wearing moisture wicking clothes.

Really? That's interesting taking Roaccutane for miliaria. What parts of your face / body do you get it? Doesn't it go away when u avoid sweating? Do you still go to gym?

I avoid all strenuous exercise to keep my miliaria under control. I found strenuous exercise caused miliaria outbreaks even when on roaccutane. But avoiding high intensity exercise made a big improvement. I just do low intensity exercise now like short walks, yoga and moderate weight lifting.

When I started working out a year ago, Miliaria was just on the upper back and shoulders. Now it's on my chest, upper arms, and a small portion in middle of chest. My face seems to heal itself pretty well, but i notice the breakouts around nose after workouts. If I avoid sweating and working out for a few days then it does get slightly better. I often sweat at my work and can't take a shower there whenever I want. Working out is one of the few things I enjoy in life so I am not going to stop. But perhaps if I do not workout and skin gets a little better that will help me feel better then working out. I do go less often though, maybe 2 or 3 times a week but mostly because I'm injured and not simply because of my skin.

Today was a bad day, I went to the gym and then picked at my skin quite a bit afterwards.

Did you have problems picking at your Miliaria? I find this difficult, when I see those bumps and feel itchy. I just feel the need to have relief and somehow I must think releasing this sweat will help. I assume that picking will make it worse, and recently I am having difficulty lasting more then 2 days without picking.
