I have been using 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide since April 2019. In 3 months it cleared my whole face from acne, it also kept my acne at bay for 11 months, until February when my acne flared up again, broke out on my chin, temples, cheeks and a few spots on my forehead.

Has this happened to anyone else? It's not like I stopped treatment, I continued with maintenance treatment. According to Dermatologist's bacterial resistance to Benzoyl Peroxide does not exist. So I am baffled as to why I am breaking out.

Anyway, I have switched to Duac 5% and I am in week 6 of treatment, still not noticing any improvements.

Your probably dealing with something hormonal / seasonal (allergies)

It could be something seasonal or something managed to throw your body's internal balance out of whack. Anything changed in your daily life?

This is interesting. You're right, there is no way your skin can "get used to" BP. If it works, it should keep working. However, sometimes your acne is just getting worse naturally, which makes it seem like a treatment is not working as well as it used to.

Are you using BP within the regimen? That's really how it works best.
