Hey guys! Well I did something stupid the other day. I used tea tree oil on my face. Usually, if I just use a small amount it doesn't do much damage or harm my skin. However, two nights ago I put it on a pimple and I guess I put too much because the following morning it was a disaster. I woke up and found the area to be very dry and very scaly, so I moisturized it and such.  It really wasn't so bad other than the dryness, so I covered it with makeup and went to school. When I got home I took my makeup off and it was SO RED and SO DRY AND SCALY!!!! I freaked out and tried to ice it and cool it down, and even applied some aloe vera plant. Usually aloe does a good job of cooling it off and healing it but for some reason this time it made my dry, irritated spots darker in color :( Please help me! This part of my face is so dry and scaly and so dark in color and i need this to be gone really fast! Last night i put aquaphor on it and if anything the redness went down the tiniest bit but it still looks horrible as you can see in the picture:( thanks for your helpFullSizeRender.thumb.jpg.fab301ec31abe50

find some pure aloe or as close to pure as you can. dont buy the cheap stuff at the drugstore that is mostly water, alcohol and chemicals. i use lily of the desert 99% aloe and like it. i would do that several times a day and at night put calendula on it. would heal it fastest. also, if i ever put tea tree on my face i dilute it in the aloe. aloe is handy to have around. so is calendula...
health food stores would have these. if you only can afford one, i would get the calendula.

Thank you! Yeah I used aloe gel from the plant. I'll look for calendula at the store!

Also, how long do you think it will take this to heal and simply be a pink scar?

seems to cut healing time in more than half. everyones healing time is a bit different to begin with though.

I recently just did this. Just curious how long did it take for you to heal? Just wanting a round about time. I know everyone is different
