ProActive makes "micronized" benzoyl peroxide which is supposedly smaller and therefore better able to penetrate into the pore.

I don't know if the Acne.org BP is any different than regular BP though. Maybe an Acne.org user who knows the formulation can chime in.

As far as better ratings, maybe it does work better. Or maybe most products made by a company have good ratings on the company's own website.

I personally tried Acne.org BP,I was on their regime about 6 years ago, and it worked for a year and a half. Then my skin got used to it, and somehow developed a very bad reaction to any kind of BP.

BUT I do think Dan's had the best BP I have ever tried. Theirs was so much smoother and wasn't as drying.
