Tea Tree Oil

Hi I have been doing some research on tea tree oil and it looks really interesting and something I may want to try. I need the experts input though! Two and a half questions:

1) Does it make your skin redder or reduce redness? I have heard some people say that it reduces redness and others say that it causes redness and irritation. I am guessing that has to do with the amount/frequency used, which brings me to my next question.

2) What is the appropriate concentration for tea tree oil as an ingredient? I have seen 5% all the way to .5%. Would a .5% concentration even help or make a difference?

Thanks in advance!

my skin is NOT sensitive so I use q-tip and put on full strength at night...I love the smell but my family hates it

I use dessert essence

says 100% tee trea oil (no %) and do not use straight on face..LOL

well if u can tolerate it, it works
