Benzoyl Peroxide Or Salicyclic Acid For Me?

Hi, I'm currently taking BC and doxycycline hyclate once a day. Still getting minor break outs on my chin and every once in a while on other parts of my face. Thinking about using benzoyl peroxide OR salicyclic acid cleansers (maybe every other day, alternating with my gentle mild cleanser). My skin is obviously acne-prone, but is also very sensitive and prone to blemishes/redness. I have fairly small/medium whiteheads, not cystic acne or blackheads. Which one would be better for me - BP or SA? I'd obviously start off with low low concentrations of each to play it safe!

Thanks!

If you only ever get nothing more severe than the occasional medium-sized whitehead I'd recommend Salicylic acid. However, if its anything more than that, I would go for 2.5% benzoyl peroxide. So really, unless you have very mild acne and are not prone to a cyst every now and again, benzoyl peroxide is the better option. Salicylic acid is best for those with light acne while those that can get (not even necessarily often though but have the ability to) get either a large, bulbous swelling white head, or a cyst every so often. I find that paring this with a food-derived multivitamin and some vitamin D3 is the recipe for clarity.
