My face is oily which causes my pores to get clogged and inflammed from the sebum and surface bacteria that lingers on my face throughout the day, although it's not an overnight miracle, I use a first aid antiseptic (10% Providone-Iodine) as an overnight spot treatment and its definitely helped reduce the size of those pesky small red bumps on my face since it kills the surface bacteria and stops it from getting further inflammed. My face is sensitve to benzoyl-peroxide and salicylic acid and sulfur spot treatments are to drying but the providone iodine, which you can buy almost anywhere for a reasonable price, does the trick without any harmful side affects. It's used on scrapes and cuts to kill bacteria so it works just the same on the face to kill the surface bacteria causing acne to become red. It's worth a try and I hope it works for others. The key with this is persistance and patience!
