Lately I been using the Proactive 3-step regimen.... The orange color kind ones that has the Cleanser, Skin balancing toner acid thingy, and the benzyle peroxide cream. About 8 weeks i think my face was getting a lot better, mildly improved, but about 2 weeks later it started to get worse. I suffered about 5 break-outs; pustles and papules. Red zits on mostly the bottom skin under my mouth/lips and chin area. One on the right side of my nose.

I felt devastated and don't know how that happened, or if the acne started becoming immune to the Proactive regimen. But my face was improving literally, but now it gone to a downfall..... :(

I am not sure if it was the skin balancing acid toner, 2nd step of the regimen that causes the acne flare ups since it's alcoholic-based usage. Where I get cotton ball and wet it then dab it to my face where acne are. It does cause some irritation, reddens my face up. So it does stings a bit... But I need better regimen that really makes acne go away and strong enough to control my hormones or whatever cause the birth of acne. I am trying hard to get clear skin and reduce acne appears- relatively slowing it down significantly! Yeah long-term I should say.

Proactive regimen I'm using is barely working for me, but I see new acne forming in other parts of my faces, even new ones are appearing at the same old area...

what regimen you mean? The one on this website? Right now I am currently using Proactive regimen, and it's almost running out. I ran out of the 2nd step acid skin blancing formula thingy. Also I am running low on moisturizer. Gosh I am having a bad day. I don't have enough money to buy more anti-acne products or regimen... 🙁

i am not sure but i believe regimen(at acne.org) is cheaper than proactive kits.

well,i have a suggestion for u.

if u think u cant carry on a regimen or routine of any kind due to financial or whatever reasons,i think u should stick to a more affordable but stable routine instead.

buying a kit once and then failing to do so after a while is only going to cause more problem.

what is ur diet and lifestyle like?

do u have dairy,gluten,sugary stuff?

Proactiv contains benzoyl peroxide which dries out your skin. That is fine at first but then you get a rebound effect that causes more acne. So you end up with dried out skin that is oily. I was on this roller coaster for years. The proactiv bleached out my pillow cases and that always made me worry that I was putting something with such harsh chemicals on my face! I've been using Liquid Oxygen products for about 3 weeks. For the first time my skin is clear and it's also very soft. It's not nearly as expensive either.
