I've recently been put on Retin-A, Sulfacetamide, and Doxycycline. Least to say, my skin has been excessively dry, which had made my face EXTREMELY oily! Just using a moisturizer isn't enough for me and I need to start using something oil based. I've juggling between Vaseline and extra virgin olive oil. I've used Vaseline in the past, without using any other medication, and it really seemed to help improve my skin tone, but i was unsure as to whether or not it was clogging pores. What are your guy's opinions? What product would be a safer bet to use?

Hello OP!
100% petroleum is non-comodogenic(that's what it says) BUT not everyones skin is the same and a some do breakout from it. From my experience, it didnt break me out and my skin IS acneprone. I put it overnight and wake up the next morning with amazingly fresh and mosturized skin!
Oh and it is slimy but you know that since you already tried it. Also, some of the people on the board have stated that it helpes fading their acne marks.
A great additional info is, some doctors reccomend vaseline of the skin since it will keep it moist which is perfect for damaged skin to heal. I've actually read this weeks ago hence i cannot give you the link but i once put it on a popped cYST(accidentaly) and it healed in 3 days without scarring. Pretty good for me since all my acne leaves some kind of scarring 100% sure with a dark mark.
I've also tried olive oil. It was very mosturizing but felt oily and looked oily for first 30 mins.
But, i think it broke me out but not severely like just 1 pimple. Ive used it for weeks and there's always 1 or two pimples on my cheeks when using it. I stopped and eventually those pimples stopped.
Im not using vaseline nor olive oil (extra virgin and cold pressed) because ive found a better skin care but i still put 100% pretoleum every now and then on some of the pimples that are open or popped (on their own).
Anyways that's all i can say hope i helped.
P.S everyone's skin is different.
GOOD LUCK!
I've vaseline with good success. Have not tried olive oil. I have tried emu oil and loved one brand, but the next time I bought it my health food store was carrying a different brand. I tried the new brand but experienced a lot of whiteheads across my forehead that I am still recovering from. Maybe will order the first brand online because it created a dewy glow like no other.
Petroleum Jelly/Vaseline is a horrible option for skin, or anything, really. What is Petroleum Jelly? It is a by-product of material from oil rigs/oil-drilling.
Although much research needs to be done, there is a lot of concern about the safety of Petroleum Jelly. Some fear it has carcinogenic chemicals (cancer-causing) in it, while others swear that as it gets refined, those chemicals become absent in the final product. Regardless, it's the least natural product you could possibly use on your skin! It's very thick and it would be sure to break you out.
Olive oil is a much better option for your skin. IDK if this is a myth, but I've heard that the oil particles in olive oil are larger than your pores; therefore, olive oil (and most other natural oils) will not clog your skin.
Jojoba oil is definitely a great option, as are any other natural oils.

You're better off using mineral oil or Vaseline than olive oil. Cold pressed Safflower or Sunflower oil is a better better than olive oil. Vegetable glycerin mixed with water is a good option as well.

I do not recommend olive oil for acne sufferers but, if you must use it at least make sure you're buying cold pressed olive oil.

Petrolatum is non-comedogenic and does not cause acne by clogging pores, however it does make some people break out if it's used in high quantities. I think this is because it keeps the skin so moist that it creates a better breeding ground for bacteria maybe, just a guess though. I can use vaseline on my face with no problem, but there is no real benefit to doing that other than temporarily improving the look of the dry skin.
Petrolatum cannot penetrate the epidermis so you will not help the dry skin, only coat it. Oils can be absorbed so they treat the cause as well as coat it.
For really dry skin I would suggest a toner with AHA such as boots time delay (if you're in the UK) and a hylaluronic acid serum such as hydraluron. Then follow up with a heavy moisturiser such as oilatum which contains olive oil. Hyaluronic acid helps moisture sink in and bind to the skin.
