Well I am not sure about that product as I have never used it before, but I think 0.5% of salicylic acid is too low to have an effect on acne (most salicylic acid products have 2 percent minimum). I use something called "SAL-3: Salicylic Acid and Sulfur Soap," it has 10 percent sulfur and 3 percent salicylic acid. So far it has worked really well for me.

There is forums about SA. Some use OTC products with 2%, others use peels at 20-30%. Check those out. The key is to look at all the other ingredients to make sure there aren't other irritating, comodegenic ingredients in there. Companies are tricky. Even if the box says non-coodegenic, you still have to be diligent. Print off a list from google and bring it with you, good luck on your search!
