Im in a little predicament, and I would love some input. I use BP every day and a 20% BHA peel every week, so it's pretty important for me to wear sunscreen everyday. I have 2 sunscreens which I love and don't break me out, but i'm not sure which to use (each has their own positives).
I'm deciding between Olay complete SPF 15 and Olay complete spf 30 (both for sensitive skin). The 15 has a lower spf obviously, but it is very easy to apply and it more moisturizing. The spf30 is harder to apply (easily leaves white streaks) and is also less moisturizing. Do you guys think SPF 15 is enough protection, or is it worth it to move up to 30 even though I like it less.
My sun exposure is pretty moderate, I live in socal so its usually somewhat sunny, and i'm inside most of the day but i have to walk a mile to and from work, and i'm outside then.
you know i am the same way in that i only use the olay spf 15 sensitive skin because i dont like the thicker consistency of the higher spf's. i have the olay regenerist spf 50 and use it on my red marks and on my nose because that seems to get the most sun exposure for some reason. my derm did tell me to bump it up to spf 30 though but i just hate how my skin feels mid day with that stuff on. so if you can handle it i say go for the spf 30 for sure especially with using BHA.
If you prefer the 15, just re-apply it in the middle of the day, or more often depending on how much you're in the sun
Thats a good idea, thank you! However, given my work situation I definitely won't be able to re-apply mid day, and by the time I get home its too dark to worry about SPF. So, Green Gables, I take it you think SPF30 is a better idea since I can't re-apply the 15?

I once went to a great lot of effort to calculate the difference between SPF powers so I could re-apply as little as possible (I am outside several times a day), and yeah, I would say the difference between 30 and 15 is significant. If you're inside an office all day and go home when it's dark, though, you could just stick with the 15 once in the morning.
I had the same problem with higher SPFs being ridiculously tacky and uncomfortable. I am on CeraVe AM right now and it is amazing. It is 30 SPF and it is light and elegant. It does not feel like sunscreen AT ALL. And I have tried a LOT of brands including Olay.

I never seem to have luck with cerave products. I''m 90% sure the regular face lotion breaks me out. Also, According to the rabbit ear assays cetearyl Alcohol + Ceteareth 20 are really pore clogging, and it kind of scares me (those two are in every cerave product...and cetaphil). So I dunno...since I have to walk a mile to work every day, i'll probably just use the 30 unless something really starts bugging me about it. Thanks for the help!
