Some of the stuff minors are posting here would be a concern for me, if I was their parent.
I've read back topics, and there seem to be disaffected youth posting, who probably need medical help for things like both their acne and their mental states.
Why don't you get people to prove their age?
PS I am nearly 40, female and took a course of Roaccutane about 20 years ago, so can understand how they feel - to an extent, but I don't think my cystic acne caused me such distress as some of these posters.

You have just forgotten maybe you are wiser now and going through that actually makes you way stronger than the avarage person

...Perhaps, but so much more stuff to worry about than acne. I am glad I got it fixed back then and then moved on!
Hey Charlie456,
I'm a parent too and I sometimes worry for some of the members of a range of ages. Ideally they would be seeking the support of family in the first instance. The mods are all basically volunteers who came to the site for their own reasons but stuck around to help out and I feel confident we all have the best interests of the members in mind. Having people prove how old they are might be challenging in this setting. Happy to hear your thoughts on how to do that and some of the things that have concerned you. Perhaps message me to continue the conversation.
Kind regards,
Jazzguy

Thanks for doing the job you're doing and also volunteering, to all the mods.
No idea how to get age verification, unless it was a software thing.
Maybe a thread to introduce themselves could be encouraged for new members, welcoming for them.
Cheers and thanks for replying.
