was talking to a member today who informed me that the forum posts on the main home page are not updating as frequently as they should be. in the section at the bottom latest from the forums some of the most recent posts are as far back as the 18th and some are from yesterday. so strange.
Thanks for noticing that tracy521. We actually changed the script because we are trying to lighten the load on our server so we run it less often now. I was wondering if anyone would notice! You did. I'm hoping to beef up the server soon and be able to run this script more often but for now I'm prioritizing speed speed speed.
This is because our home pages (www.acne.org and www.acne.org/messageboard) are fully cached. Each seation are refreshes in some period like forum refresh each 20 mins, gallery each 2 hours. and Main page also cached. I will rethink process of cache renew since this one was areal quick solution to decrease our overload. For now will reduce cache live time twice.
