Hi guys! I hope this helps someone. I'm 20 years old have been on the regimen for about four years, and had amazing success the first two years, then after awhile I kept on getting breakouts--going from clear skin for about two weeks then a breakout the next week. It was a vicious cycle and I was confused as to why I never got completely clear skin.

After cutting out milk (I still eat butter and low-lactose cheese), increasing my nutrient intake (through more meat and superfoods) as well as having more veggies, cutting out refined sugars whenever possible, and cutting out seed oils (this one is huge) I've seen an amazing improvement in my skin, mood, and weight regulation. I still had some occasional breakouts and was frustrated so I bit the bullet, and decided to just cold turkey get off the regimen.

I know that seems like A LOT especially to someone being on the regimen for so long (I know how you feel), I couldn't help wonder who is going to wash my face and do this routine when and if I'm super old? Also who wants to do this routine when going on a long camping trip; after a day long hike; after going surfing. Even after workouts I would dread the thought of needing to wash my face after just sweating.

Now, I'm not worried about getting sweaty, being in the sun, or other natural occurences that might make my skin sweat because I know my skin is doing its job of being regulated, acting as a barrier to everyday life's toxins/weathering, as well as water, rain, wind, etc.

First, I made sure I was drinking a lot of water, eating right, and then I stopped using the regimen, replacing the cleanser with micellar water or an oil cleanse, and then using pure jojoba oil as a cleanser.

According to science jojoba oil is an excellent skin barrier repairing oil because of its natural properties and this has definitely held true with my skin. The first few days are not comfy at all; your skin will be dry but just apply jojoba oil liberally morning and night. Do not overcleanse. The point is to let your skin produce its own sebum again.

You'll find that as you eat right and take care of yourself, get better sleep, regulate stress, and repair your skins ability to produce its own oils again then the breakouts will gradually go away.

Also, remember to use a mineral sunscreen! I reccomend Elta MD.

Some before and afters for you guys....
