Hi everyone, okay long story short, I™ve been on acne.org for almost 3 years and by the end of last year I stopped taking my Birth Control and in January of this year my skin has been flaring up with cystic/hormonal  acne. I decided to get back on acne.org regimen, even though I didn™t completely stopped using it because I was still using the Benzoyl peroxide. However, the regimen is not working on my hormonal/cystic acne. Is the benzoyl peroxide not affective anymore? Do I need to do something else? I need some help.
Ps. I™m now back on BC.

youre benzoyl peroxide might be bad. If you are using an old bottle of benzoyl, it probably went bad cause it goes bad if left in hot temperatures. You can tell it's gone bad when the benzoyl feels slightly liquidy, almost like water. The benzoyl should have a consistency similar to a hand lotion. Happened to me before. I bought a new one and my acne got better

Hormonal acne is really difficult. You're back on BC so you should clear up again soon, but the regimen should also still work if you use it precisely and use plenty of benzoyl peroxide.

Also, eating low-carb may help you calm everything down from the root.

Thank you to you both so much!! My acne absolutely got better after I got back on Birth Control.

What should I do about acne scars? Does the Glycolic Acid help with the acne scars because I feel like it softens my skin but it doesn't really help with my acne scars.

Nothing topical helps much with scars. If you mean hyperpigmentation (red spots), then yeah, it'll help a bit, but scars are permanent loss of collagen and nothing topical will help with that.

WOW! The man is still in the house!

I was wondering. Awesome.

Is there a better community out there than this one? I cannot think of one. Totally awesome, and humbling.

Dan? What do you think about sulfur/MSM foods or supplements that can potentially break down scar tissue internally? Do you believe, based on your extensive experience here that it cannot be undone? Scars.

I have a scar on my foot from when I was 6 and cut it on glass. The scar is still there. 29 years later.

No redness, just a perfect glass cut scar.

As for my face? Let's just say it was Fucked. With cystic, whitehead, clogged pores, sebum hardened particles, redness, shininess, and dryness.

I gotta say Dan....It's all gone. I got no bumps on the face, no scarring....no redness....no more clogged pores.....no "mountain landscape" of previous scarring....

So what did I do? To heal things that happened to me as a teenager and early 20's that I couldn't heal from when I was 6 years old?

The younger scars are impossible to heal. The scars you get when you are older are manageable. But.....it takes years. To reverse them. I did it? You gonna ask me how? I did this? I hope so.

Let's talk.

I don't think anything you eat is going to get rid of scars. I always have an open mind but yeah, totally doubt it. @onefatalgooseare you saying you got rid of scars?

Yeah. But it took 13 years. Of non-stop disciplined eating and supplementation. Doing things that aren't neccesarily "reccomended".

....or....."known". "Universally accepted"...."FDA Approved"....etc. Kind of....did my own thing. Would love to share. If interested.

Most leave. After accomplishing their goals. Or figuring how to do something so many have deemed impossible. I am still here.

If you would like for me to make a seperate "topic" about this I can. I am not sure which category to put it under. Might consider creating a new category titled, "How I got rid of my acne (every type), scarring (both red and tissues based), and reached my peak health". (took 13 years) Shall I....create that thread? I mean....I will. Would love to share.

Your call Dan.

I will start putting something together. It's gonna take some time. Cause I don't want to rush it. But I will put it together and post it wherever and the mods can move it to whichever category they deem it should belong.

I share cause i care.

Yeah sure would be cool to hear what anybody does...

...unless it's illegal like using high amounts of acid or doing your own needling or whatever. Don't want anyone potentially hurting themselves.
