What amount of "burning" is normal?

I am about 4 days into using the acne.org benzoyl peroxide (a little bit once at night) and my skin is really red and the burning sensation is really intense. (pics attached.) I promise I'm not a wimp when I comes to pain but my face has really hurt 24/7 for the past few days.

I've used Benzoyl Peroxide in the past (Paula's Choice 2.5% years ago) and I remember dryness, but nothing like this. I'm wondering how you know if you should stop or keeping pushing on? If this is the "worse before it gets better" then I can soldier on for a little while longer, but it this isn't normal and I'm torturing myself for nothing then I'm happy to stop too!

It's a very strong product, so that's why it's important to start slowly. Just a pea size amount just once a day for the first week.

You can always back off on it or stop entirely until your skin calms down and then start back up more slowly. This will go away over time, but don't push it. Let your skin slowly get used to it.
