I've been on the regimen for almost three months, but the first two months were with my own products. I switched over to Dan's products about a month ago and they have been working GREAT for me. My skin is really looking much better & I'm so happy about it. The only issue I seem to be having is when I mix the AHA with the moisturizer. I've been using the AHA as a spot treatment for a couple weeks now & I have been gradually building up how much I use on my face at a time to avoid the burning sensation, & everything was totally fine, I only had a slight burning sensation, but for some reason when I mix the exact same amount of AHA that I would use as a spot treatment with the moisturizer, it burns so bad that I have to wash my face all over again. I tried this multiple times with different amounts of AHA & no matter what, if there is the slightest bit of AHA in the moisturizer, my face will feel like it's on fire! I'm really confused as to why this is since when I use AHA on top of the BP & before the moisturizer, it barely burns at all; even if I use enough to cover my whole face.
Anyways, it's not a huge deal that for some reason my skin doesn't like them mixed together, but I was wondering what the proper way to use the AHA would be if I can't mix it with my moisturizer? I don't want to use only it on my face instead of the moisturizer a couple times a week because my skin gets really dry without using the moisturizer & jojoba oil. Should I wash, apply BP, AHA, then moisturizer + jojoba? Or should I apple the AHA after using the moisturizer +jojoba? So far I've been using the AHA only at night, & not every night but most nights. Thanks!
