Hey guys,
So I've been doing the regimen for almost 2 months now, and it basically cleared my skin. However, I still have not had luck finding a good moisturizer. I used Cerave for a few weeks, but it did nothing for the huge amount of flakes I get on my chin and my cheeks, and gave me clogged pores on my chin and all over my nose that never gets acne, giving me small red pimples every now and then. I've also tried Neutrogena's moisturizers, and they broke me out and did not get rid of my flakes, either. I have the Cetaphil moisturizing lotion, but I was wondering if people had better luck with Dan's moisturizer. I just really want something that does not clog my pores at all and at least takes care of some of the flakes I get, because my face is so dry and dehydrated that it is uncomfortable and I'm starting to get smile lines. Which moisturizer have people done better with, Dan's or Cetaphil?
Have you tried using Jojoba oil? It works wonders for the flakiness, 4-5 drops on your moisturizer and you're good to go. If your face is excessively dry, you can lightly brush the oil across your entire face and watch the flakiness brush away with ease. Just make sure you cleanse, medicate, and moisturize afterward. I like Dan's moisturizer. I wish it was cheaper, but I suppose it makes sense considering how effective it's been, at least for me.
Well, the Cetaphil ended up doing the same thing my other moisturizers did after just two uses, which is really upsetting, but I guess I expected it. So I guess it's Dan's moisturizer left for me to try. But if it doesn't manage the flakes, I will try out the jojoba oil with it.
Is it possible for dermatologists to like give you prescriptions for moisturizers, if everything over the counter breaks you out??I just can't believe my skin is this easily clogged, like it's ridiculous. I literally can't use anything. I have no idea what I'm going to do if Dan's moisturizer and the jojoba oil don't work. Like what else is there? I've tried so much of the drugstore stuff. I could look to more expensive products, but I'm not sure that's necessarily going to get rid of the problem.
