What happens if you use glycolic acid before the regimen?

I already read that it would cause severe stinging, and I know it's bad if you aren't already using benzyol peroxide. I've been using my own benzyol peroxide and moisturizer that isn't from the regimen kit and just bought the glycolic acid. Is it safe to use with my other products?

Hi Spooper,

The Regimen products are effective when used in combination with one another. To get clear you absolutely must use the Regimen products including:
1. The Acne.org Cleanser
2. The Acne.org Treatment
3. The Acne.org Moisturizer

The AHA+ is a powerful exfoliant so having a reaction to this product is normal. If your skin could not tolerate the AHA+, you may start off by mixing 50% of the AHA+ and 50% Acne.org Moisturizer and apply the mixture every night. You can try this for a while and then switch back to using AHA+ full strength every 3 nights or so and see how that goes.
You may also start with a small amount of AHA+ and apply it every 2-3 nights and gradually ramp up the volume until your skin is well adjusted to the product.
